I know, shocking!

Only one SHINee song. a lot of Taeyeon's. You also see me listening a lot to the original The Greatest Showman soundtracks. 

One thing you should know, Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho. 

I downloaded this on 18th May and it got into my Top 25 the next day. I. am. obsessed.

If you compared this Top 25 with my previous one, you'll notice how the difference in number of listen is significantly big.
I think it was becoz I was younger then and music is everything.
Oh, it still is. it's just, I got bored easily and I ended up listening to audio stories on youtube.

New Camera

Hi guys,

short post.

Yo girl right here just bought herself a new camera.

Fujifilm x-a3.

I wanted it in pink but they only have it in black and brown. So, brown it is.
it's pretty. and I felt a little weird with it. for now. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I am no tech savvy but I know this is an old one. 
first released in Nov 2016.

but who caressss!!

i finally bought it!!

Why I decided to buy this? Because I want back-up camera for my next travel adventure. wehwehweh

I mean, I have my old digicam (Sony Cybershort) as a back up before. It still works and I have no problem with the quality. 

I just want a new camera and I have no other excuse. LOL

I've tried playing with it a little, trying to get the hang of it but I'm still blur (both my brain and the photo taken). I just have to give it more practice, I guess.

I also bought this tripod.

it's called KingKong Selfie Stick.

I didn't expect the boxing will be so fancy. velvety. it also comes with the fisheye/wide lenses. I only bought it because it has that mini tripod thingy besides the selfie stick. it also has a remote. like, yassssss. it's components are mostly metal so it's a little heavy but I guess it's sturdy? I have not tried putting my phone on it yet.

I'm gonna make it work. Solo travel here I come!! ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ

for the living

hi guys.

Selamat Berpuasa to my muslim friends. 

Today is already the 7th day. Time flies so fast.

as tradition dictates, I had my second 1L cup milk tea from Easyway. 

and I'm sure I'm gonna have a couple more before Puasa month is over. Since this cup only available during Puasa. (*˘︶˘*)

another common thing during Puasa is Bertahlil (prayer for the one already passed away) and Menyungkaikan (breaking of fast with other people at your house) functions.
No, I have not been to one yet. There will be one function next week tho.

I should also point out that puasa is the month when the one who left before us will come and visit. (Imagine the movie Coco, but instead of worldly gifts, they left when we sedekah prayer to them and they continue doing that for the whole month of Ramadhan). this thought alone makes me a little more emotional than usual. ⊙︿⊙

You know how when someone passed away and there'd be a lot of people come by their home or to their final resting place to pay respect? I've always wondered; did we come or go there becoz we wanna say goodbye to the deceased or to give support to the one left behind?

My sister's bestfriend's mother passed away on 30th April 2019. and I found out from the bestfriend's sister's IG. of course, I felt sorry for their lost. but also I remember thinking, "Not that I know the mom well, but I should go for the betahlil for these two sisters", you know, for moral support. and i did go to the betahlil that night and I finally understand what Dumbledore meant when he said to Harry, "Do not pity the dead, pity the living".
Because the one left behind still need to continue living. and I understand now, why we need to visit them often for the first 40 days. for moral and emotional support.

with that I conclude, at least for me, I come for the one left behind. Because losing someone is not something you can get over with, you just learn to live with it, and we wanna be there for them, to show them, their life is still worth living for, we wanna help them want to continue living.

I'm not saying we should only be extra supportive during Puasa month, I'm saying, be there for the living. whenever. They appreciate it when we come and pray together with them as a form of support. Our small gesture of kindness counts.

That's it. be kind.

Make-Up Brushes meets my mom

So this afternoon I went to a cousin's Khatam Al-Quran
and I wore makeup.
Because,
I wana be purrtty.
hahaha

NO,
I wore makeup on weekends coz I need to use my makeup things before they expire.
1. I don't wear makeup on a daily basis
2. I try to wear makeup whenever the occassion calls for it. a.k.a. when I'm not lazy.

cleaning my makeup brushes arah sink kitchen. :P

and my mom checked on what I was doing and asked, "apakan ni?"

I'm guessing she actually knew but wondered why they looking like that (I know my mom used to wear makeup too from her old pictures)?

and I answered her, "make up brushes"

She paused and checked some more and finally said, "banyak jua brushes" and walked away.

I frowned and looked at my brushes.

Yeah, I do have many. when in reality, I only ever use maybe 4 of them. LOL

I do used all of them every other time coz I need to know their functions. and to do that, I need to experiment by using them. hence, the cleaning.

I bought the brush soap/cleaner from Daiso, Miri. it works well.

in the beginning I used hand soap to clean my brushes. that worked o.k. too. I don't think it really matters what soap you use as long as it is not laundry detergent LOL

the rose amd wand brushes are from storybookcosmetic.com but you should know, these style of wand brushes no longer available. however, they do sale other style of wand brushes and just as precious to own. Go check them.

the wood-handled brushes are from the Face Shop.

my facial regime

Hello friends,
welcome.

This is going to be a long post, so bear with me. (▰˘◡˘▰)


For the past two years, I've been trying to maintain a facial care routine / regime.

From the beginning, I was told to use my products in this order; wash-essence-toner-cream-or-serum. Day routine will end with serum, Night routine will end with cream.

but today, as I "window shop" at Yesstyle.com, I came across this product called Ampoule.

I had to Google that shit coz my brain goes, "what the hell is an ampoule?!"

I clicked on the first link on the first result page and found out (at the bottom of a very long article) 

Ampoule is a super charged serum.

macam, why they make me read that long ass article? why they play me?

I also found out that I could've done my routine like this; watery products first, then thickest and richest products last. So, thats like: toner-essence-serum-or-cream.

I. am. confused. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
that sale person wouldn't be giving me a wrong instruction, would she?

I Googled another question; 
which one go first: toner or serum?

Clicked on the first link on the first result page. and it says, it was up to my own judgement.

like, whaaaaa

I once wondered, if I put my essence first after cuci muka and then 5 minutes later applied my toner (using cotton puff), doesn't it seems like I'm wiping my essence off my face kah tu?
I did try changing the routine once; wash-toner-essence-cream, but the sensation I felt on my face at that time was uncomfortable becoz both my essence and cream at that time were thick. My skin is oily to acne prone type. those thick products were not agreeing with me.
So, I went back to the original routine; wash-essence-toner-cream.


but If i were to follow the watery-thickest-richest rule, my current first essence is pretty watery and light although not as watery and light weight as my toner.
should I be using my toner first?
coz in my understanding, and just as the first article mentioned, toner is like a second cleansing after washing. thus, i believe my toner kinda washes off my first essence since i applied that one first before toner.

should I change my routine?

my skin felt rather dry this day.

but only becoz I'm having break out right now (which is normal for me during this time of the month) and I usually avoid putting on products on my face until the scar is gone. I could put on make up but as soon as I get home, I usually clean my face straight away and put on ointment on the trouble area instead.
I know my face. during this hard times, it will protest and bring more breakouts if i put on other facial products.
sigh
I'm old already, shouldn't this type of break out stop already at this point??

this last set of products kinda suits my skin at the moment. they catered my oily skin well. I especially love the peach cream; watery/light but as soon as you rubbed them on your face, it dries quick and not oily or sticky at all. very2 light on the skin. PLUS! smells amazing! LOVE. IT.


Of course, there are other things I used every other time or when I remember to, or when I rajin LOL;

• Face Mask - once a week at least. I am running low on face mask as I'm typing this.
• Yehwadam Snow Lotus Pearl Capsule Cream - this one is a little heavy for my skin, so I kinda scared to use it that often. not even once a week. but it makes my skin glow when I put them on. and I love the smell.
• Yves Rocher Serum for Wrinkles and Firmness - this is a night serum and when I finally bought it early January this year ( i tried the sample before and it works fine with my skin) and used it as my alternative night cream, I got horrible break outs, I freaked out, and stopped using it. but last Sunday, 13th May, I somewhat checking out the serum and again and read the bottle instruction; it says I supposed to use it twice a week. DAMN! no wonder break outs! Sales person, you need to step up your game.

You'd think with all these products my skin will be flawless and glass glow like.

no, honey.

coz believe it or not, what you put IN you body is just as important as what you put ON your skin.

and I put in more grease and salt than I do plain water or any other good nutrition.

Bulan puasa or Ramadhan is coming and I can't wait! 

but that would also mean spring-clean is in order before Hari Raya comes. *mata ke atas*

SMTown LIVE is coming back! Starts in July in Seoul, Korea and I'm like, "but I'm saving money for my trip to Seoul in Nov/Dec 2017" (¬_¬)

Speaking of Seoul, yes. I did plan on going in Nov/Dec 2017 BUT itu baru plan. Alum confirm lagi. Coz I'm still torn. Japan again or go Korea next? ლ(╹◡╹ლ)

I'm hungry right now.

I should eat.

Oh! I've started reading again. Reading real physical book! Currently reading the second book of Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children: Hollow City. 
an interesting read lah. In all honesty, I find the 'wording' boring but the storyline is very intriguing! that is why I'm still reading it. besides, I bought all three books (Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Hollow City, and Library of Souls) and it's an obligation for me to read them all.

in fact, I bought tons of new books when I was in Singapore. 

oh! I complete my Pretty Little Liars collection too! Book 13 to 16! THANK YOU KINOKUNIYA!

Luna's first mini album.

I have to admit, my initial reaction to Luna's first mini album being techno-ish is bad for promoting her vocal, is complete BS.
coz even from Free Somebody, her vocal just shown thru.
shows how you should never judge SM's better judgement. (aside from JYJ, Hangeng, Kris, Luhan, Tao cases)

anyhoo...
I've forgotten what song I like, besides Free Somebody, from this album.

also, I just found out.
Luna was cast base on her dance skill rather than her singing skill.
I was so shocked when I found out about this.
Like,
are you sure?!
coz her voice is just ..bom! and she's the main lead vocalist in f(x).

but then, I'm over my shock and thought, 'no wonder her dancing was always on point' *nod nod in realization*

moving forward~

in her mini album, she has six songs and an equal balance of ballad and up beat songs.

I think I like her Galaxy song.



its almost the same sound as Free Somebody now that I listened to it again for the umptime.

but of course, her promotion was short lived as SM decided to release EXO new album soon after hers. like, we all know where everybody else is going when EXO made an appearance. BUT it was a good released for Luna while it last.

Well done, Luna-ssi! Good Job!

maybe next time SM would think about giving their other artist an equal amount of promoting period.

An Update

So, Jonghyun's first full (if you can call an album with 9 songs is full) album was out last week and I was surprise at how well accepted my ears were to the songs.

especially proud of Dress Up.

on another note,
I found out SM been releasing (I don't since when) a lot of its Station (an SM Digital Music releases)-project songs.

on 25th May, Amber released her 3rd songs from her Crossing releases. its called Need to Feel Needed.

a very nice song. and a little motivational. or maybe a little Self discovery kinda songs. how ever you want to see the songs to be.
similar to the first two release: Borders and On My Own.


and few days ago, another SM news; Luna will be releasing her solo!!!!!
FINALLY!!!

it says somewhere that the song, Free Somebody, will be a little techno.
I was a little skeptic. coz Luna is f(x) vocalist and techno doesn't really promote vocal, does it?
I know Luna has an amazing vocal but it would be great if that's what they're promoting in her solo, right?
Her mini album will be released next week on 31st May.
One question: Kenapa kan DHL?

since where on SM News, Lay of EXO also releases his song for the Station project.
its called Monodrama.

mv already out but I haven't got the chance to check it out. I laughed at the thought of the song being so drowsy (coz of that one episode from EXO showtime).

Jonghyun will do a comeback with first full album.

tapi kan, macam ada 9 lagu saja. Almost similar pun with the number of songs in his other mini albums.

so, maybe half sja yg kan show ani lah ah.. *being optimistic*

i hope his songs here are more acceptable for my ears this time around.

Mom is the kind of person who is so nice to other people even if that people was so damn mean to her in the past.

I could never understand her.

1. Regarding work
no matter what personal hatred you have to your work mate, kerja tetap kerja. Think of your 'periuk nasi'. No one else will jaga that. so, peduli apa with what they say behind your back or whatever. bukan durang yg bagi ko gaji. So, maintain your work etiquette.

2. Relatives
you know how some cousins don't get along with each other? well, I have them too. and I know my family is not the only one yg ada this kind of relatives. but be kind. biar tia urg bejahat arah tani, jangan tani pun ikut bejahat jua. If like that, sama lah tani dengan durang. it's better to be remembered being the kind one than being remembered the opposite, right?

of course, I'm only human.

Being kind is a very exhausting.

not just mentally but spiritually as well.

Keep Your Mind On You

I was approached by a colleague and he asked me why he often sees me alone? 

He even asked me if I was ok?

I gave him the (ு८ு) face.
I laughed it off of course and told him that I was ok
and the reason why he sees me alone all the time (esp during our one hour break) was because;
You see, my job, I don't just do paperwork coop up in my cubicles all day. I attend customers at the counter, on the phone often; answering customers NEVER ENDING queries, and of course on top of these, I have to do inputting (a.k.a. my version of paperwork) transactions into our systems too.
You see (yes, again), during working hours, I barely have time to think for myself. Customer comes first. Even if I had the chance to text or play with my phone during those time, it's not as satisfying as when you do it (without interruption) during your one hour break. 
In short, 
I need my fucking space.
I didn't say the F work to him though. Just, the 'I need space'.
He nodded and had that unconvinced look on his face. Like, he knew me better than I do.

it wasn't the first time he asked me this. previously he even got the nerve assuming that I was 'heartbroken' or something.
Like, major WHAT.THE.WHAT
Just because I like being alone, doesn't mean I'm heartbroken and shit.
I just like being alone, ok? as I explained why above.
