Just like, Aladdin, Mulan is another of my fav Disney movie to watch over and over again without feeling bored.
When the news first came out and it said there will be no dragon but a phoenix instead, I was livid. coz Mushu, the dragon in the animated version, is my fav character! and I remember posting my disagreement over that decision on my FB status. Only to realize my opinion wouldn't make a different in the slightest.
Fast forward, July 2019, (I have a lot of things prepared in July it seems LOL). I came across a thread on Twitter. talking or explaining, why the live action Mulan is what it is.
I didn't screenshot everything, just the beginning. It was very insightful. I'm always a sucker for ancient history, so I appreciate the effort put into this explanation.
also, this guy, playing Fa Zhou, I recognized him from Rush Hour. So, already I decided to watch Mulan becoz I recognized him from Rush Hour. LOL
I don't recognize this lady but I'm looking forward to her playing Mulan too.
I will remind myself to not have high expectation. I don't want to be disappointed. Again, it's only becoz, Mulan is one of my utmost favorite EVER! I got my fav nickname, Vengeance, from Mulan.
I can't wait for March 2020.

Luna's first mini album.
I have to admit, my initial reaction to Luna's first mini album being techno-ish is bad for promoting her vocal, is complete BS.
coz even from Free Somebody, her vocal just shown thru.
shows how you should never judge SM's better judgement. (aside from JYJ, Hangeng, Kris, Luhan, Tao cases)

in her mini album, she has six songs and an equal balance of ballad and up beat songs.
I think I like her Galaxy song.
its almost the same sound as Free Somebody now that I listened to it again for the umptime.
but of course, her promotion was short lived as SM decided to release EXO new album soon after hers. like, we all know where everybody else is going when EXO made an appearance. BUT it was a good released for Luna while it last.

maybe next time SM would think about giving their other artist an equal amount of promoting period.

when Ryeowook's mini solo album came out, i like a few songs.
So, when Yesung dropped his mini solo album, I thought my hype for it would be the same as I did the other two.

a little background story before I share you another few songs K.R.Y. (Kyuhyun. Ryeowook. Yesung.) is a sub-unit of SuJu whose main song releases are ballads. and all three of them is like the senpai of amazing male vocals of SM! well, not really. there are Changmin, Junsu, Yunho of DBSK. to name a few. but since I wasn't aware of DBSK vocalists back when I was obsessing over SuJu, lets not go there. anyway, KRY is like the platform of amazing vocalist of SM! after that came Jonghyun and Onew of SHINee (not gonna explain myself why Onew was mentioned after Jonghyun coz I love their voices on two different levels) then baru tah came the EXO vocalists; Bacon, DO, Chen. (I think Luhan should be in this list too but seeing as he is no longer EXO) what I'm trying to say, K.R.Y. has a lot of practice to get to where they are now. Vocally. I'm no expert but theirs are per.fect.ion.

So, Onew opened an Instagram account with a very unusual name (more like weird name). and Shawol, being the detective that they are, were able to decipher his profile name within the hour.
some even included his Twitter's name too. (see above) I guess Shawol are geniuses too. LOL and I knew Onew did that on purpose to amuse his fan. His fan service is on point. *thumbs up* although, some kept insisting that it was just his sangtae.

and moments later i saw someone posted a video showing the ocean changed colors (Onew:Green, Jonghyun: Red, Key: Pink, Minho:Blue and Taemin: Yellow. it has been their color to indicate themselves since the 1st SHINee World concert) according to who sang during that song. It was such an amazing feeling. I would have cried a river if I was actually there. too bad I wasn't but I still cried. LOL
I am such a cry baby these days. and that reminds me of Usagi a.k.a Sailormoon. hahah
ah well.. point of this post is that, shawol is awesome. I couldn't find the video. maybe I Googled it wrong, I don't know. I guess I need to give this some times, coz let's face it, they need time to properly upload their precious fancams for us, not so lucky Shawol, to watch and leave reviews.

was watching Immortal Song 2 on KBS World late Saturday afternoon. the theme for that episode was Korean Folk Song. I wasn't actually planning to watch that show..I was playing games on my phone when the show started but the first singer started singing, and I was hooked and actually watched the whole show. ahaha Immortal Song is, to me, and awesome show to show case some of the Kpop artists (Yesung, Jonghyun, Taemin, Luna, and currently Hyoyeon from SMTown had been in that show. Ailee been there too. and that Hyorin kh? the one who sang Let It Go Korean ver also) ability to sing. at the same time, I found out singers that aren't that popular but should be. I fell in love Sohyang performance for Arirang Alone. note: pls skip to 2:10 of the video, that's when she start. unless you don't mind watching the whole thing. hahah
my reaction was quite similar to everything that you saw from that video clip. I cried at the end. LOL and for Sohee's the Boatman's Song. note: for this want, you can skip to 1:39 for the song. was she like, yodeling? sounds like it, right? I really like her dress. she's 19 and being able to rock that folk song is like, awesome. I can't even sing our own folk song without feeling a tat bit embarass and outdated. LOL sorry my country. I love you no matter what though. LOL I saw once of her documentary. She was younger then. and somewhat the youngest prodigy of Korean folk song singer. I am no expert but she's good. i applaused loud when they were done. macam aku liat live jua lah dsana atu. hahaha I was feeling it.
I should watch the next episode of Immortal Song. and I think our KBS is a tat bit behind the real scheduling. maybe Music Bank is on time but the rest of the show is not. I thought about this because, right after the Immortal Song on TV finishes, I was browsing Instagram (as always) and saw a few video post of Immortal Song 2 with Hyoyeon of SNSD in it. like, I watched the entire episode but there was no Hyoyeon on TV but how come on IG got post like that? Not that aku rajin kan browse or dig further, I'll just be happy with still having a Korean channel on our cable. LOL alright, enough rambling. till the next post .. . . .
Day 2. We woke up early and quite easily on day 2. Why? Because it's Universal Studio Day!!!
and it was Onew's socks day too! xD
the theme park actually opens at 10:30am but since we haven't purchase the tickets, we need to go to the counter at 8:30am when it opens. which was what we did. We woke up at maybe 6:30am, got ready and left our hotel by 7:30(ish)am.

After we bought the tickets, we waited around Vivo City like lost puppies (it was too early. kadai pun alum buka except for McD at which we had our breakfast :D It was McD kinda trip).
And before we know it, we were excitedly queuing to Enter by 10:30am.

the excitement was overwhelming, like you want to play everything all at once. hahah but of course, we took it once step at a time. We split up; i went with Zawir and Bazilah went with her nephew. this one lagi tah by luck. When we got out of Lights, Camera, Action we heard commotion and cheered that we just had to check it out. and Lucky we did. these guys are awesome B-Boys and insanely funny. Zawir got the jis of it. LOL
a/n: I know, selfie galore. Sorry viewers. (NOT! hahaha) We finally met up again for lunch before we continue on with few more rides and actions to see. We ate Oasis Spice Cafe. It stated in the map that they serve halal food. So, kami pun dengan kebulurnya, tarus masuk and order. the price of the food was surprisingly, normal-expensive. AND portion nya banyak berabis! hahah kami tu worried yg it'd be over our budget. but luckily, not. So, happy tummy!
Continuing on~ Zawir went into the Transformer The Ride thrice while I went in twice. the second time we went in, we were all four. The four of us also went in together to watch the Shrek 4-D Adventure (Bazilah's and nephew's second time) and last but not least, together we went into the Madagascar: A Crate Adventure (this ride is like a calm version of water log ride). After that, we had some last minute shopping for souveniars and took selfies
(of course) before finally exiting the theme park. Because we don't want to leave just yet, we stroll around the outside area, taking more pictures and lepak-ing for awhile at this sorta abandon swimming pool.
Zawir went gaga.
Our intial plan was to stay until night falls but since the park was only opened until 7pm that day, we didn't get to stay till night time. at least we stayed until closing time. and I played most of the game! my personal aim! I wanted so much to play the big roller coaster (which I don't know the name of) because it was under maintainence. I also didn't play the Accelerator (a ride like the tea-pot thingy where it just whirled round and round). but I am still happy with my achievement to play all the rides. I missed Water World action reenactment.Bazilah and her nephew seen it. OH! I should mention; you need to take the theme park map and entertainment schedule as you entered.
they are a lot of help for you to make full use of your time to enjoy Universal. YOU MUST! if on day 1 we were exhausted, it was a lot worst on day 2. We even continued shopping di Bugis Junction after we freshen up from Universal. LOL we that hardcore shopper!! to be continued... . . .
