SHINee World VI: Perfect Illumination in Singapore

Here comes 2024 Recap number 1.

I went on 2 Mar 2024.

I posted my SHINee concert pictures arah my main IG on 6 Jun 2025.

I thought I posted them arah my second IG jua before that but apparently I didn't. 

I posted gambar merchandizes saja.

I was at the side of the stage where views were only great when they go to the center of the stage and I took picture from the back LOL

PLUS cOnew nada at this concert - masih ya hiatus. He was already on one when I bought the ticket but I was still hoping in 3 months he will appear but ovvy I was wrong. I mean, we gotta support our other members ya? 🤭

They did come to the side and waved but my views were covered by tali2 stage lights ...sigh.. 

Also for this concert, I commissioned a friend (juwapapeterie on IG) to make me some charm bracelets - coz your girl nada the barang2 to create one. I created the backing card myself at least. hehe I think I did a very good job at it.

Only problem is, I didn't get to pass them around. I was too shy and overthinking and ended up not doing anything about it. huh. I was embarrassed to share them on IG coz you know, didn't share them out kan LOL but now, I think, I'm gonna face my fears and post them here (only becoz I know no one really come here ahahah). So, I guess I'm gonna have to give these out on the next concert - with new backing card obvously..#stopoverthinking

All in all. I was a little disappointed during that concert coz:

1. my expectation was Onew is gonna be there but he wasn't. 

2. I overthink about my seat mate - I came alone and I was wondering if the girl next to me was drunk or something. Nothing wrong with her enjoying herself but I also thought 'aren't you trying a little too hard?' yeah, that was bad of me trying to gate keep SHINee from this girl when in 10 seats radius, she was the only one with the correct amount of enthusiasm for the concert while I was shying away in my seat and simply wuuhuu-ing at appropriate time. hahaha

3. I don't know man. the malay word I would choose for that concert was "hambar". but then again, that was just me. I didn't manage my own expectation.

4. Song choice. either I was losing it or I was somehow unfamiliar with so many songs. LOL I am losing touch? Am I no longer a Shawol? ahahahah Ok, maybe bukn unfamiliar but they were playing mostly my least fav SHINee songs bah..yatah aku macam, nyeh...

What I'm going to take from this experience was that I didn't have to go next time if another member is missing. Coz the goal for me was to see all four of them in a concert. My first SHINee concert I went to was back in 2011 for SMTown. also in Singapore. I missed the one in 2012 when they had their concert in Singapore on my birthday. So, all I ever wanted ever since missing that one concert is to at least go to another one before I became too old to fangirl LOL - so yeah..I don't have to go if the concert is missing a member. I can go to the next one when it's confirm all four of them is gonna be there. And sekiranya lambat lagi for a SHINee World, maybe I can go to Onew's solo concert  first in the meantime. We'll see.

Amanda made this Kpop Journal thing last year and it reminded me of the time when I was doing my own kind of fav boyband 'biodata' thing. 😂

I felt guilty at one point, coz I was doing Jaehyun's spread first before I did Onew's. Like, woman, how could you?? to compensate, I did two spread for Onew.

Let's break this ish down;

1. Key!

He is finally doing his solo. Like, a real solo. I know he did the ToHeart thing but to me, that doesn't count as a solo, since he did it with Infinite's Woohyun (on wiki, Toheart is dubbed 'sub unit'. I don't think thats appropriate since sub-unit usually meant for a unit that is form within a unit and SHINee and Infinite is not from the same unit, is it?)

Key is finally doing a solo!
his first single is called, Forever Yours featuring Soyou.



I love this song at the first listen. 

and then he dropped his album, called, FACE,  on 26th November.

I haven't properly listen to this album yet but managed to I listen to Easy to Love in full, and i like the English lyric.





2. ONEW! 

argh. his news are the most devastating.
first, SM announced his enlistment date, 10th Dec.
AND THEN!
THE SECOND NEWS! he's dropping his first solo album, on the 5th Dec. 

like 😒😒 I hope SHINee make SM rich this final two months of 2018.

Onew's album is called VOICE. titled song will be called Blue.

Kononnya, this album is a gift to Shawol/MVP for our undying love and support for him. 
basically, something for us to hold on to while he in the army. or something like that.

SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!

not that he never sang solo before, but previously he sang for OSTs, and for SMStation releases, he sang two duets. So, I don't know, doesn't quite counts.

3. SHINee Japan!

YES! IT'S NOT DONE YET! titled is not a joke. 💸💸💸💸

SHINee World J presents! a DVD for the special Fan Event they had at Tokyo Dome for SHINee's (i think) 7th anniversary since debut in Japan.

Thus, including the Season Greetings, 
I have 4 kpop items to look forward to this month and in Jan 2019.

as excited as I am, I do have this thought at the back of my mind, that, these releases, are meant to be a distraction for us.

I don't know how I should feel about it.

I keep forgetting anyway, and I kinda prefer it that way.

One fanaccount on IG asked; which album is your favorite?
My answer?
I don't have fav album, I have favorite song from each album; Good Evening, Chemistry, Lock You Down.

There were some 'support' thing going on before Ep 3 was released and I only found out about it on the release day. 
Turns out, ep 3 contained a song which has Jonghyun's voice in it. Thus, people are comforting and supporting those who are not able to listen to the album yet, for worry of triggers. 
The song they were referring to is Lock You Down.



Since I wasn't aware of it, I was pretty calm when I listened to Lock You Down and actually fell in love with that song right away.

You see, I became a full Shawol during Hello Baby / Jojo era. Meaning, my full on fanatic mode for SHINee was during their 2nd Album, Lucifer.
So, naturally, I love the entirety of the album! Biasa, obsess kan. kantut pun bau harum. LOL!
anyway, one of the song I love most from that album is Shout Out.



Why?
Because everyone sings and everyone raps.

Which is why, when Lock You Down started playing, I was *gasp* and just, LOVE it.

the similarity isn't about how everyone sings and raps (well, it is one of the similarities), to me, the similarity is how it makes me feel familiar to it. Like, it's whole. this song is supposed to be. 
sigh
I don't know know how else to word how I feel about this song.
it is also very cheeky the way they sang it. just like how Shout Out was sang. Like they had a blast recording it. the energy put into the song is fierce *snaps fingers*.
The song is whole.

I feel bad for saying that, like I'm saying the other 15 songs for Story of Light aren't whole.
It's not that.
That is not what I meant at all.
I swear.

Another thoughts that came to my head as I listen to Lock You Down again, is that, 
Jonghyun's POET|ARTIST album was released as a farewell to us, 
and now 
SHINee included a song which has Jonghyun's voice in this album, is like SHINee's farewell to him.
Not in a forever kinda way, of course.
But a farewell.

I believe the Story of Light promotions are coming to an end. 
I found out yesterday that there will be SMTown concerts in Japan this month. Like, thanks! I have used all my money for Japan in March. LOL

ah well...

looking forward to more of SHINee in the future.

For now,

I need to do more writings on my story instead of procrastinating and making random blog posts.

and i hate seeing people editing pictures of OT4 with Jonghyun. it's like saying SHINee is not enough without Jonghyun.

I just want people to support wholeheartedly this OT4. showing them our utmost support. like Jonghyun did when he was alive.

I know our hearts gonna skip a beat when we see that MV with just the four of them but that doesn't mean you HAVE to edit Jonghyun in it.
Stop doing that shit.

It's offensive to the living.

I mean, I don't know what SHINee themselves are feeling but I would feel very insulted if people started cropping my dad's picture into our current family photos.

but it pisses me off when people continue to edit in / cropping in Jonghyun in the new photos.

if you really do stand OT5, you don't need to do edits. you would have seen him in each of his bandmates. you would have seen him without the help of an edited photo.
