mini list of my first Kpop comebacks

Hi guys!

I thought of this topic as I was writing the post with Sulli's solo; My first kpop comeback from my favorite.

My first comebacks for a few favorites; SuJu, SHINee, f(x), BoA, Girls'Generation.

Here's what Comeback means:

When I said 'my first', I meant the comeback that I actually looking forward to watch on KBS (the only Korean Channel available in our TV cable) 's Music Bank (a Korean music show) after I get to know the group and listening to what ever they have released prior to that comeback. So, let's go!

1. Super Junior - No Other.

Ok, so, I was looking at their Single list on wiki and my first comeback should've been It's You. coz I was obsessing over SuJu since Sorry Sorry but I guess, I was just obsessing and didn't really understand the concept of Korean Music Show until No Other came out. No Other wasn't even a title song, it was from the Repackaged one. I remember the last stage they did of this song was when SHINee made a comeback with Lucifer. I remember becoz Leeteuk shouted "SHINee Comeback. something something..hwaiting" during the stage. LOL sorry, I don't understand Korean much.. Let's share that video



dam! I missed 2nd Gen group. and SuJu is my first Kpop group. Oppa-deul, saranghae 

2. SHINee - Lucifer

Ok, this obviously related to the above.
I was beginning to obsess over SHINee at this point coz I was obsessing over SHINee Hello Baby. 

I'm not sure if it was but this song reminds me of how I started investing to much time and money on SMTown.



ohhhh SHINee performed first, then SuJu, coz, Goodbye Stage. Ok, understand.


3. f(x) - Danger

Ok, this one kinda hazey but I remember obsessing (yes, I'm easily obsessed!) over this song the same time I obsessed with SHINee and SMTown concert. or somewhere along that road. f(x) is the first Kpop girl group that I really like.



Now I remember how the idea of this post came to me. the GIF I used on previous post was taken from f(x) Official MV for Danger. 


4. Girls' Generation - The Boys

I'm telling you, this list is base on that year SMTown became so big and doing world tours. around 2010/2011. The year I become full kpop stan! 
I wrecked my brain for stories behind this choice and actually, OH! was the first comeback I followed but only thru the Music Video. Does that count? maybe. but let's stick to comeback stages, yeah? (my list, my rules muahahaha)



I'm reminded to why Hyoyeon become my bias. Her rap here. sharp!


5. BoA - Hurricane Venus

this probably was everyone's first comeback of BoA after a while. becoz this was five years after her last Korean album released. I remember watching this and thought, "that's how you do live" coz I was so used to watching her (via youtube of course) live in concert.



it was such a good performance! No one can beat this Queen. She does more live concert than live music shows!

Betrayed

Hi guys!

Another quick post.

Today I wanna talk about Sulli, a former f(x) member.

I know, shocking. She was never my favorite but when she was in f(x), I cheered for her too by default coz f(x) is my fav girl group.
until~ she decided to leave f(x) to pursue acting. 🙄

I only ever know she acted in one movie after she left f(x) and that movie wasn't well received. I also think she was in one historical kdrama but I don't know what become of that. 
Mostly, I saw her in mainstream online kpop media coverage over some 'inappropriate' posting on her personal IG (this part, I'm on her side: it's her Instagram and her life, she has all the rights to do what ever she wants) and being featured in/on magazines.

So, when SM announced last week that Sulli will be releasing a song, I rolled my eyes so hard that I fear you will see my whites from then on. LOL I was so annoyed and hating. dah tah aku memang anti kedia when she left f(x), telling people she wanted to act but barely doing any acting, and now, she's releasing a song?!

I feel the same way I did when Brian, former member of Westlife, left the group then not even a year later, releasing a song as a solo artist; Betrayed.

You ARE a singer when you were in the group. I 👏 JUST 👏 DON'T 👏 GET 👏 WHY 👏 YOU 👏 HAVE 👏 TO 👏 LEAVE 👏 IF 👏 YOU 👏 GONNA 👏 END 👏 UP 👏 BEING 👏 A 👏 SINGER 👏 STILL 👏

Ok, lah, lemme justify their actiona:

• maybe they weren't treated right
• maybe they wanted more say in what they can do artistically
• maybe they always wanted to be a solo artist

sigh

Just becoz I tried to be more understanding, doesn't mean I can't still resent them.

I mean, they left! and for some reason, that separation ends the group!

Ok lah..grateful each remaining members, both Westlife and f(x), ended up doing solo thing successfully, meaning we still get to see them around the entertainment industry. 

and let's not forget, currently Westlife is doing a world tour after almost a decade of disbandment. Maybe the same thing will happen to f(x) too? Lets us hope so.

as much as I resent Sulli, I'm curious about her solo. I wonder what kind of genre her song will be.

mine is obviously SHINee's. 
Red Velvet's dimsum lightstick comes second.
I have the need to mention this; Taeyeon said GG's lightstick looks like tooth. LOL!

Luna's first mini album.

I have to admit, my initial reaction to Luna's first mini album being techno-ish is bad for promoting her vocal, is complete BS.
coz even from Free Somebody, her vocal just shown thru.
shows how you should never judge SM's better judgement. (aside from JYJ, Hangeng, Kris, Luhan, Tao cases)

anyhoo...
I've forgotten what song I like, besides Free Somebody, from this album.

hmm..

let me share one live performance video first:

also, I just found out.
Luna was cast base on her dance skill rather than her singing skill.
I was so shocked when I found out about this.
Like,
are you sure?!
coz her voice is just ..bom! and she's the main lead vocalist in f(x).
are you sure??!!

but then, I'm over my shock and thought, 'no wonder her dancing was always on point' *nod nod in realization*

moving forward~

in her mini album, she has six songs and an equal balance of ballad and up beat songs.

I think I like her Galaxy song.



its almost the same sound as Free Somebody now that I listened to it again for the umptime.

but of course, her promotion was short lived as SM decided to release EXO new album soon after hers. like, we all know where everybody else is going when EXO made an appearance. BUT it was a good released for Luna while it last.

Well done, Luna-ssi! Good Job!

maybe next time SM would think about giving their other artist an equal amount of promoting period.

I was watching f(x) 4 Walls MV for a few times (to help increase the number of view :P) when I cam across Kyuhyun new MV from his second mini album.



Half way thru the MV I was thinking I wanna share this MV with cZawir and tell him "This is what's going to happen to me on my solo trip next year" coz the MV was about a lady travelling alone and somewhat a guy fell for her after a short encounter. 
but as the MV finishes, it turns out the lady was actually dying/critically ill. or maybe she actually died in the MV, I'm not so sure. 
and that stop me from posting/tagging cZawir on FB.

Like, No, I don't want that to happen to me next year. *knock on wood*

hahaha tau takut~

but I still like the MV minus the dying. Macam a mini version of fluffy Kdrama!

someone asked in the comment, "Why didn't she just eat her medicine (nangis tah pulang)?" and someone replied "coz there is no water" LOL! egg. funny! but egg. ahaha

Now, back to f(x) 4 Walls MV!!!!



I doesn't reminds me of anything for the last half an hour listening and rewatching the MV. I only thought that its a nice song and the MV could've been better (coz I have no idea what they are trying to tell me with this MV). but in the comment, people kept saying its a copy of SHINee's View. and now I can't unseen the similarity. #damnit

Someone commented something about Sulli looking great in the MV (at 2:16 minute) and when I clicked the highlighted time, I laughed. coz 2:16 brings you to the scene with the brown horse. hahahah! Someone even asked "J-Horse is that you?" hahah seriously! people are dead hilarious in the comment! and egg! completely egg! hahahah


In IG, FB and now youtube channel, I've been seeing Sulli's fans being upset and dissing current four members of f(x).
It was officially announced that Sulli wanted to leave f(x) to pursue her acting career. it's not the other 4 members fault. If anyone to be pitied, it should be Vic, Amber, Luna and Krystal. They are the one yg had to endure the hardship of losing a member and trying to move forward.
I hope f(x) will get all the recognition that they deserve.

that movie and a comeback

It was more like Funny and Egg!

LOL

I guess I expected that movie to be funny because Jack Black was in it.
and it was nice to find out that from the beginning, the main character was funny AH (as hell) too!

I laughed the hardest (spoiler alert!) during this one scene at the supermarket when Jack Black was spraying himself with deodorant! I laughed coz of his face but mostly because it was so girly and reminded me of a video Amber from f(x) posted on IG some time ago. hahaha so egg~

what I don't like about this movie is the scene towards the end. Literally before the ending punya scene. I don't like it. It's very disturbing. Like, what becomes of the reality?! 
You have to watch the movie to understand why I said it was disturbing. I'm dead lazy to explain. 
hahaha

BUT

not to lazy to mention this before I end this post;

Flavors

this was posted today on IG and it made my day awesome.

I love red velvet flavors but NOT black forest. 

*rolled eyes* as lame as fandom can get, that choice of fan name actually pretty creative. 
but why not cheese cake or vanilla cake for that matter? I mean, those flavors go well with red velvet, i think.

Black forest is a little, I don't know. I just don't like them. ahahah I don't know, its so well beloved around my family too. I just don't get it. but that's just me. you can love it all you want, just don't give it to me. or I'll shove it down your throat. yes, that's how much I don't like it. *evil laugh*

anyways, Red Velvet is actually pretty cool. I listened to their first mini album. there are some good songs in there. My fave is Take It Slow. Nice vocals. I think. 
they came out right after f(x) promotion of Red Light was stopped so they got a lot of hate. I resented them too, for a while. Until I realized it wasn't Red Velvet fault. I blamed it all on Sulli that brat of f(x) maknae.
I know, I don't know the real thing either but from what the media had been showing and telling us, I'm gonna stick to blaming that brat. I hope she left f(x). (I know. hating. muahahah) I saw some comments on f(x) members' IGs (they were filming Baskin Robbins commercial recently and the other four members, who each has their on IG account, posted pictures without Sulli) saying why doesn't any of them tagged Sulli's name. I almost tagged those comments and said 'because the brat wasn't there?'. I mean, why would I tagged someone who wasn't there? COME ON! 
I'm so worked up right now over this brat issues.
Like I said. I don't know what's really going on but she continued to be missing, i think imma take a hint and assumed that she isn't ever gonna be.
and I'll be ok with that. she's so overrated anyway.

OK, let's wrap this up.

Red Velvet fandom's name is Black Forest and their light stick is going to be a Fork.

Poor f(x)

After 3 weeks, they have stopped promoting their 3rd Album, Red Light.
read below for more details on that matter.

udah tah cHenry punya comeback kana buat a week after f(x)'s. and then this happened.

Poor poor f(x).

Ever since I watched SM's movie, I AM and f(x)'s Gangsta Boy dance practice video, I've been having thoughts on how Sulli isn't feeling 'it' ('it' = being an artist, and everything that came with that title).

and if you read the reaction below regarding the above situation, you'd see that I am not the only one yg thought so.

But of course, these are just my thoughts. Everyone is entitled to voice out their opinion.

I only ever like Luna and Amber in that group to begin with but I still like f(x) as a whole. From my non-professional  point of view, each of them are very talented individual. So, it's sad to see/read this kind of news about them. Especially when my mind is clouded with the bias-ness of SM making a Solo concert for EXO despite f(x) being EXO's senior. As far as I know, f(x) been working just as hard. 

and seeing a group of 5 became 4, made me a little sensitive. 
Remember Westlife? 
I know f(x) is not missing a member but this may lead to that, who knows, right?
it's very upsetting.

I saw (and liked) a post on IG that says, "Some illuminati shit is going on at the sm building".

As much as I want to hate SM like everybody else do, I just, don't know anymore. I mean,  I don't know about KangTa and Zhang LiYin but
BoA is doing fine, is she not? Just recently she releases a Japanese new single.
SHINee just finished their series of their 3rd solo concerts.
Super Junior is having a comeback soon (Ultimate Leader Leeteuk is BACK!!)
SNSD just celebrated their 7th anniversary.
and despite the Kris issue, EXO is 'meletop' with their the Lost Planet concert.

Who knows what's really going on within f(x). they have more individual activities than they do as a group; Victoria spent so much time in China for school and dramas, Krystal busy with her 'solo' magazine spread and currently doing a TV show with big Sister Jessica, Amber doing Show Champion and A Song for You MC-ing, and I don't really know what's Luna and Sulli are doing most of the time. Luna probably still MC-ing for the Korea MTV the Show, I'm not sure.

So you see, we don't really know (EVER) what's going on within that group.

All I can do now is wish that they'll light some truth so we could stop speculating and assuming things.

What hurt the most, after all of the above, SM is debuting a new 4-membered girl group called Red Velvet, soon. hmm..

my fav female group is back!

f(x) jjang!!

the image teasers was kinda, overwhelming. Fans are threathening to *BOOM* SM if the MV is not as good as the teasers.

But i find the MV rugged *thumbs up* 



except that I didn't get the song/music/connection-between, so I wasn't a big fan at first.

Pastu, I do the usual; dangar lagu without the MV.
and I LIKE IT! 

Yes, 'like' it. because, while I was 'browsing' thru the Red Light album, I came across 'Paper Heart' and fell in LOVE with it right away.



After watching the Eng/Hangul/Romanize sub video, I love it even more. Every line was distributed evenly (well, maybe not really EVENLY but lets not read too much into that) between each members; I hear a lot of Amber SINGING! part! *thumbs up* Thank you SM. 

and on 16th July, f(x) won their first win for Red Light at Show Champion! *throws confetti* Congratulation girls! Hope your success continues!

Now, all we need is for SM to announce f(x) solo concert.

SMTown - Hope (part 1)

This right here is my most precious video EVER! Coz, weeks before the concert, I was like, mengHafal this song (and also Dear My Family - I Am OST but this one nada drg perform -.- ngaleh ja ku ngapal tu) and was super excited when they performed it last2 atu. Lucky we didn't leave early coz rain eventually stopped during the finale. and we got to scream out lungs out none stop. LOL a/n: part two refused to load. too big kali. ngaleh ku -.- oah well..

You must be wondering mana video SHINee ku. ahaha ada. ganya, not my fav song bah. yatah malas ku kn upload. hengsem plang drg atu. semestinya!

I watched the To The Beautiful You drama series yg ada cMinho and Sulli of SMTown. xD

I've been wanting to liat it fo such a long time but selalu procrastinating about doing it.

Then last Saturday happened. I SO bored that I was going crazy, I decided to give the drama ago.

and you know what? I love it. funny lines. funny character. *cough* topless Minho *cough*. 

Cliche-ish but still so acceptable. 

Cha EunGyeol, played by is my fav character. Surprise? Minho isn't even my bias in SHINee anymore. LOL!

Minho's character is Kang Tae Joon and Sulli's character is Gu Jae Hee.

The drama is about a girl,Gu Jae Hee, who disguised herself as a boy, to give support to her fav athlete, Kang Tae Joon, who'd given up on his sport dream. something like that.

of course, no Korean drama is complete without the Hero and Heroin fell in love with each other (THAT'S the cliche part) and kisah cinta yg so complicated; Seol Hanna suka Kang Tae Joon and then EunGyeol suka Jae Hee. (poor Eungyeol have to doubt his straight-ness/gay-ness.

If I were to choose between them, I would choose JaeHee and Eungyeol. they would make a perfect couple!!! they're too cute for each other but that's ok!

I give this drama, A- for all the good laugh they gave me. the minus is for the cliche-ness. (LOL!)

by comparison, EXO's much more simpler than f(x)'s. For once, EXO doesnt have any wordrobe change from start to finish while f(x) had plenty.

but why is f(x)'s duller?

I know I know.

I love f(x) too but that MV is just, ARGH!

I think you can only do simpler MV like that if you can dance as awesome as EXO.

Yes, f(x) can dance but come on. compare that to EXO, tell me you didn't agree with my statement.

hahaha awu, majal ku ni MV f(x) tu inda lawa. colorful eh but i duno. Why didnt they just make the shoot somewhere other than the studio?

On a brighter note, EXO's Growl MV is AMAJING!! almost as awesome as Wolf. if you watch both MV version back to back, you can just see the awesomeness!

SM may have the biggest name in Korean music industry but really, their MVs are just... lame. and cheap looking. macam, where did all the money go?
