Winter's War

Caution: Spoiler Alert!

I thought I'd love this movie to death

but boy was I wrong.

reason to watch this movie:
1. Emily Blunt
2. the trailer said its the story before Snow White, so my expectation was maybe its the story of the step mother, knapa ya jadi jahat and all that.
3. Emily Blunt.
4. I figured there's gonna be a fight for power between the two sisters and the Winter sister died coz she wasn't in Snow White and the Huntsman
5. Emily Blunt.

hahaha I really like her. she's versatile. I watched her played a snob character in Devil Wears Parda, and then being poise in Young Victoria and being funny as hell in 5 Years Engagement and she sings in Into The Woods! i know 4 movie saja to be all 'she awesome' 'great actress' but you gotta admit, she really is brilliant!

anyway,
I watched the movie and I was very disappointed.
the acting, the scenery, the funny punch line, were all on point.
but the storyline kinda suck!

first, the 'story before Snow White' was kinda short.
I thought the entire movie was a story told before Snow White
but it was not even half through the movie!
3/4 of the movie was during after Snow White reclaimed her kingdom!
what was that all about?!
such misleading trailer!

second, even if the trailer was misleading,
I thought the 'Winter's War' part would be on point.
but it's not!
I thought the 'Winter's War' was between the two sisters, and that Freya, the Winter Queen, miraculously win against the 'gold' Queen (that Queen from Snow White and the Huntsman).
sekali rupanya, it was more like a war during winter. or war that leads or turns to winter.
it wasn't even the the Winter Queen yg do all the fighting. it was all done by her 'children'.
memang ada a 'fight' between the two sisters but it was towards the end and almost insignificant.
I don't know. I'm just mad at how the story turned out.
so everything is just a huge disappointment to me.

third, Finnick was there. hahaha
I mean Prince William, apparently the husband of Snow White in Winter's War.
I thought she ended up with the Huntsman?
rasa wah kan masuk kan cFinnick ah! I guess becoz he so famous now.
Sam Claflin. he was in the most famos Hunger Games Catching Fire onwards,
Pirate of the Carribean Stanger's Tide, Love Rosie, and soon (if not already) in Me Before You.
both Love Rosie and Me Before You are movies from books adaptation.

how he looks like, if you're wondering ^.^

No, this is not the upside of the movie.
Prince William appeared for like 5 mins top jua ganya. again, not very important aside from Prince William telling the Huntsman about the missing Mirror. other people could've informed the huntsman. *shrugged*

they should have more scenes on the funny dwarfs!

why is the mirror so blur?
I doubt that you can see yourself in it.
but I guess it was more like mirroring whats inside of your brain and heart.
*another shrugged*

I guess that is all that I have to say for this movie.

I hope the third one would we a lot better than this. if ever they decided to make a third installment of this series.

and I should lower my expectation next time.

I finally had the time to read Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell.

I finished the book in less than 8 hours last Sunday.

I didn't think I could finish the book this week but what do you know? the story had me hooked.

what kills me was the Park character was half Irish and half Korean and the Eleanor character was half Danish and half Scottish.

especially cPark atu lah. I just gave him Onew's face. HAHAHAH [because the further I read, the more Onew-ish he became; (spoiler alert!) he wore eyeliner and how Eleanor thought he looked unsettling. I thought Onew looked ...very unsettling with eyeliner too, *ketawa smpi kluar aing mata*]
and gave Eleanor my fav character (as in my own made up character), Sasha's, face. Sasha is actually Irish with red hair and green eyes. Eleanor had 'big' red hair with dark brown eyes.
Like, if I have Professor Lockhart's 'bravery', I could wiped Rowell's memory and claimed Eleanor & Park as my own. MUAHAHAH
But I'm no Professor Lockhart. I is not a wizard.

hahaha 
anyway,
I cried several times reading this. I mean, I didn't even cry reading John Green's the Fault in Our Stars! can you imagine?
maybe because Eleanor character's remind me of my own; the family background history, the bodily insecurities (or general insecurities for that matter) and being in love with someone so much but know they don't deserve us.
I can just relate to her and whenever the situation got too much to be real, I cried.

Gosh, Rainbow Rowell did the same to me when I was reading her Fangirl book! 
this woman is the master of ma feels!!

I wonder how you pick your fav author?
I'd pick Rowling out of loyalty right now but to be honest, she isn't the only one anymore.
and I think that's ok.

Finally

I finally figure out who GoGo Tomago (from Big Hero 6) 

reminded me off when she did her skate thing;
c Cappy from Robots.

Cappy did that skate move thing when they were fighting the bad guys and when I saw Tomago 'skates' in the Big Hero 6 movie, i kept thinking I've seen that move before.

and now I know it's from Cappy.

Not saying Tomago copied Cappy. I'm just saying that Tomago reminded me of another character.

Movie Marathon

So, I went movie outing last Thursday and Friday.

Thursday night I watched MockingJay part1 with Faizah. she bawa me along with her company outing actually. Free what. LOL

and I so love the movie! like, I can't even begin to tell you how much! A+++

Now I have to wait for the second part which will be out on Nov 2015. I hope they change the date to earliest possible. like, next month. hahaha I am that impatient.

On Friday, i watched MockingJay part1 again with Zawir. 
still an awesome movie to watch for the second time! 

and after that we watched Big Hero 6.

I wanted to watch the damn thing becoz my sister and brother recommended it. they said, 'Baymax is cute!' 'Awesome lah'. Baymax is cute alright. but the part yg aku sakit hati was how I was almost crying in two/three scenes! awesome apanya?! sedih polangggg.. 
but ok lah. it was an awesome movie to watch. I love how the city of San Fransisco was merged with Tokyo in that movie. Muka durang urg puteh, tapi nama durang Japanese (not all characters). annoyed ku awal2, but towards the end, it didn't even matter. it's just a name. A++ for action pack cartoon!!

Privileged

I bought this series years ago (maybe back in 2010) and I've only started watching it last week.
(my procrastination  at its best ;) )

and the friend who suggested it was, kinda right, the main character, Megan, was a little bit a like me (while, she said the main character was actualy 'a lot' like me but, I have to disagree). Megan was ms. righteous and wanted to be a writer. I duno about being righteous, but I am sure about becoming a fiction writer someday. :) So, I guess that counts.

and although the story revolved around her becoming a writer, there's just too much drama (as there should be or noone's wants to watch it). I'm not really crazy about the whole 'living with the rich and have privileges' thing but I like the one part of the story that talks about being single for so long and trying to adjust your single minded thinking and compromising others. and how having a bestfriend with the opposite sex can be a problem, somehow. I don't know how Privileged is going to end like, but I hope we don't have to settle for worst.

Fav character so far? Marco the house chef. he's like the 'go to' guy of the house. very funny and sassy! 

Least fav? Can't decide yet. I have to see it to the finish, i guess.

to bad this series was only made for one season. but good to know some characters emerged (and stayed for more than one season) at other famous TV series; Pretty Little Liars, Grey's Anatomy and NCIS.

A/N: 3 discs down, 2 discs more to go.

I watched the To The Beautiful You drama series yg ada cMinho and Sulli of SMTown. xD

I've been wanting to liat it fo such a long time but selalu procrastinating about doing it.

Then last Saturday happened. I SO bored that I was going crazy, I decided to give the drama ago.

and you know what? I love it. funny lines. funny character. *cough* topless Minho *cough*. 

Cliche-ish but still so acceptable. 

Cha EunGyeol, played by is my fav character. Surprise? Minho isn't even my bias in SHINee anymore. LOL!

Minho's character is Kang Tae Joon and Sulli's character is Gu Jae Hee.

The drama is about a girl,Gu Jae Hee, who disguised herself as a boy, to give support to her fav athlete, Kang Tae Joon, who'd given up on his sport dream. something like that.

of course, no Korean drama is complete without the Hero and Heroin fell in love with each other (THAT'S the cliche part) and kisah cinta yg so complicated; Seol Hanna suka Kang Tae Joon and then EunGyeol suka Jae Hee. (poor Eungyeol have to doubt his straight-ness/gay-ness.

If I were to choose between them, I would choose JaeHee and Eungyeol. they would make a perfect couple!!! they're too cute for each other but that's ok!

I give this drama, A- for all the good laugh they gave me. the minus is for the cliche-ness. (LOL!)
