only one post in Sept so far?! I need to fix that now.

First of, Mulan, the live action remakes.

if you came across my previous post about me trying to buy Colorpop x Mulan make up, you know how oassionate I am with the 1998 version.

Mulan finally premiered in Brunei back on 3rd or 4th Sep. and I kena belanja to watch on 5th Sep. and I watched again a second time on the 6th Sep.

So, the first time I watched, I was, sooooo underwhelmed. I don't know man. I was a little heart broken? I thought it was the 'no mushu' part but the second time I watched, I was actually more 'accepting' of the no-mushu part. the part that 'ruin' the movie for me was actually the action/martial art parts. they all looked, CGI? ok, Donnie Yen was doing his IP Man martial art thing, Jet Li was magic. I don't know man. the martial art part was annoying as fuck and I am not feeling it.

In conclusion, I will stick to my 1998 version. 

oh, also, there were no musical numbers. Like, THE FCUK WITH THAT?!

SIGH. 

the new OST maybe cool but its not enough redemption.

On IG I gave this movie 8/10. but now that I am making this, I don't think its 8/10 anymore.

Not supporting anymore

So, title. this post was prepared back in July 2019. I just procrastinated for far too long. So, i thought, let's get it over and done with. I'm in need to delete and clean my folder.

here goes...

Fuck it. I'm just gonna say it.

Ariana Grande. 

First saw: Nickelodean's Victorious. No, I didn't really watch the series but the ones that I happened to watch, I came across Cat (Ari's character) and thought, she's the best character in the entire series.

I also remember seeing one of her earlier music videos, very colorful, very musical/theater like, and thought, her voice is amazing. not to mention, my friend told me she's like Mariah Carey, bird voice. My respond to that claim? yeah. she could do bird voice.

Next, I don't know. her song Problem became a meme, "I got 99 problem, and you are not one of them" or something along that line. Personally, not a fan of that song.

and then onwards, I saw the EMAs on TV, not by choice, and came across this performance.



at the time, I thought, whoa, she got lungs! and thought it was a good performance.

I actually appreciate a couple more of her songs. or I heard them on the radio, thought it was a nice song, downloaded them, but when I listened again, nyeh.. it wasn't as the hype. So, I just left it there in my iTunes library, untick.

I have a couple of favorites;

1. One Last Time. I only ever watched the music video once and thought it was nice for once she wasn't wearing a 'swimming suit'.
2. Into You. 

Of course, she is a big name out there, every other time, I will learned that she releases new songs but many of those I'm not a fan of.

Fast forward end of last year, Nov/Dec 2018 (yes, I checked my files when I downloaded them LOL), I downloaded 3 Ariana songs; Thank u next, Breathin, and No Tears Left to Cry.
Thank U, Next was once in my top 25 songs.
You can see from my May 2019 top 25 that I untick this song.
that was becoz when I tried to watch the MV, I can't. It says its not available for my region? for some reason I got super offended. 
I wanted to watch becoz she was recreating some of my fav movies, Bring It On, Mean Girls, and Legally Blonde. I thought it'd be fun to watch.

I know I was influenced by a Korean media article with how I was feeling. The artivle was about how kfans was disappointed with how Ari was treating them during her concert there. don't quote me on this, it was something about not meeting VIP ticket holders or something. How she spent time in Japan but not in Korea. don't quote me on this.

I'm aware that she was traumatized by what happened to her in Manchester. I sympathized with her. I understand how you can be prejudiced over a certain race when you had been victimized by that certain race. again, don't quote me on this, I don't know the race of that terrorist. 

So, I'm offended becoz I'm asian?

Fast Forward again, July 2019. I watched a Spill video on youtube. and it involves Ariana and Kris Wu. I know I shouldn't but this Spill video proves my points in one way. Hell yeah I'm siding with Kris. former EXO member. "naega style, aniya" LOL had to put that here.

Anyway, here's some screenshots of the comments that I can relate with.

Comments are the best in every social media platform 👍. not trying to force things onto you but if you missed it, read again the part about English Speaking people. I feel that on so many levels.

Yeah, I know, this is so petty!
but doesn't stop me from no longer supporting her. I even made a playlist where I try to knock off Thank U Next from my top 25. LOL and i did manage to Knock it off in a day. I'm that dedicated.

Honestly, the songs I used to listen to are still nice to listen to today. but every time I heard her voice, I got really hurt. So, I make an executive decision to not listen to them anymore.

I am in no way denying her singing ability. but sometimes, it's so much more than that when you want to support someone's singing career. to me, at least.

I mean, come on. my unvoting her doesn't make any difference. She is still a big superstar.

So, yeah.

Friendship

For the past weeks,
I've been thanking God for those best friends I kept and will continue to keep.

I don't have to mention names becoz they already know who they are.

I just deleted a whole bunch of paragraphs before deciding on posting this one.

I was angry and pissed and wrote a bunch of details which I'm sure no one wants to read.

So, instead,

I have a first hand experience on that.

Might as well you don't come and visit if you're gona be on your phone all the time.

When Ahmad (bukan nama sebenar) begirlfriend with Sarah (bukan nama sebenar), Ahmad had been avoiding his other friends. especially yg bini2.
the other female friends was told (by the male friends of their circle of friends) that Sarah was a penjeles girlfriend.
the other female friends understand.

and then, Ahmad and Sarah got married.

So, here's a situation:

Erin posted something on social media and Ahmad liked it.
Erin got scared. Scared that Ahmad's wife Sarah would get a wrong idea.
but nothing happened (Sarah did not go and cyber attack Erin, like Erin thought Sarah would). thus, Erin ignored the like and be neutral about it.

Months had passed and Erin noticed that Ahmad liked her posts every now and then. 
Erin was no longer worrying and become curious instead.

In my understanding, if I don't want him to talk to other girls when we're dating, I certainly don't want him to talk to other girls when we're married.

Maybe it's a trust issue?

PLEASE UNDERSTAND: the 'He' here is the same person.

In my understanding, if I can't trust him when he's my boyfriend, why on earth did I marry him?!

I'm just dead curious about this stuff.

coz from Erin's POV, she is scared that Sarah might get the wrong idea. Ahmad might thought that what he's doing is ok. but who knows what Sarah is feeling, right?

I also understand that maybe Sarah isn't getting a wrong idea coz Ahmad married her and she shouldn't be questioning his loyalty and trust him.

Another opinion of mine; Ahmad shouldn't be like that from the moment he berCouple with Sarah. He shouldn't push away his female friends in the beginning to jaga hati girlfriend but after he kawin with Sarah, resume being friends with his female friends again. it's confusing and troublesome.

but once again, I don't know why Ahmad did what he did. Maybe that's the only way he knows how to deal with it?
I just strongly believe that he could've handled it better.

because the moment Ahmad pushes his other friends (male and female) away, they also distant themselves from him. and when he tries to befriend them again, they don't want to.

can you blame them?
I understand if you push away bad influences from your life to be better
but we're friends.

I get that you can't talk to us (female) to jaga the hati of your girlfriend but did you realize that you avoided going out with our group (have male also) too?

I understand that married people have commitment but i have never met anyone, who before they were married, pushes everybody away just to keep 'the other half' happy.

Winter's War

Caution: Spoiler Alert!

I thought I'd love this movie to death

but boy was I wrong.

reason to watch this movie:
1. Emily Blunt
2. the trailer said its the story before Snow White, so my expectation was maybe its the story of the step mother, knapa ya jadi jahat and all that.
3. Emily Blunt.
4. I figured there's gonna be a fight for power between the two sisters and the Winter sister died coz she wasn't in Snow White and the Huntsman
5. Emily Blunt.

hahaha I really like her. she's versatile. I watched her played a snob character in Devil Wears Parda, and then being poise in Young Victoria and being funny as hell in 5 Years Engagement and she sings in Into The Woods! i know 4 movie saja to be all 'she awesome' 'great actress' but you gotta admit, she really is brilliant!

anyway,
I watched the movie and I was very disappointed.
the acting, the scenery, the funny punch line, were all on point.
but the storyline kinda suck!

first, the 'story before Snow White' was kinda short.
I thought the entire movie was a story told before Snow White
but it was not even half through the movie!
3/4 of the movie was during after Snow White reclaimed her kingdom!
what was that all about?!
such misleading trailer!

second, even if the trailer was misleading,
I thought the 'Winter's War' part would be on point.
but it's not!
I thought the 'Winter's War' was between the two sisters, and that Freya, the Winter Queen, miraculously win against the 'gold' Queen (that Queen from Snow White and the Huntsman).
sekali rupanya, it was more like a war during winter. or war that leads or turns to winter.
it wasn't even the the Winter Queen yg do all the fighting. it was all done by her 'children'.
memang ada a 'fight' between the two sisters but it was towards the end and almost insignificant.
I don't know. I'm just mad at how the story turned out.
so everything is just a huge disappointment to me.

third, Finnick was there. hahaha
I mean Prince William, apparently the husband of Snow White in Winter's War.
I thought she ended up with the Huntsman?
rasa wah kan masuk kan cFinnick ah! I guess becoz he so famous now.
Sam Claflin. he was in the most famos Hunger Games Catching Fire onwards,
Pirate of the Carribean Stanger's Tide, Love Rosie, and soon (if not already) in Me Before You.
both Love Rosie and Me Before You are movies from books adaptation.

how he looks like, if you're wondering ^.^

No, this is not the upside of the movie.
Prince William appeared for like 5 mins top jua ganya. again, not very important aside from Prince William telling the Huntsman about the missing Mirror. other people could've informed the huntsman. *shrugged*

they should have more scenes on the funny dwarfs!

why is the mirror so blur?
I doubt that you can see yourself in it.
but I guess it was more like mirroring whats inside of your brain and heart.

I guess that is all that I have to say for this movie.

I hope the third one would we a lot better than this. if ever they decided to make a third installment of this series.

and I should lower my expectation next time.

I finally found this 'Egg' case I was once tagged on FB.

but when I finally bought and trying to wait patiently for it to be processed and shipped, the Seller decided to send me this

I was devastated.

I am not even joking.

I really wanted this case.

I am Back. part 2

CAUTION: this post contain some swearing towards the end. It wasn't supposed to but as I was composing, I got heated up again over some *tut* and..yeah.. CAUTION ALERT!

you wana know what so delusional about me during the trip?

I thought that I have recovered from my fever.

LOL

I noticed I had fever as I lay on my pillow during the trip but it was gone when I woke up the next morning. I guess, I just didn't want to be sick during the trip.

Not that the trip was any good.
I'm not saying the place that I went to isn't good.
I'm saying the people who supposed to be the organizer or the supposed 'tour guide' made it such a horrible experience for me.

As the hours unfold, we found out or figured out that the organizer (in the Philippines. nominated by our BBRC committee) was actually a Real Estate Agent with no tourism in mind. thus, everything that they did to/for us was 'ada udang disebalik batu' or in a simpler English terms, 'got hidden agenda'. For example, on Friday, 14th Aug, they were supposed to bring us to this tourist attraction, Tagaytay Highland. but on our way there, we stopped at this Azure Urban Resort whose recreational attraction was design by the famous Paris Hilton.

At first, I didn't get it. I only thought we were there to see the beach-like pool. 

i was even being super smug and said, "errr..macam Empire pun" (Empire is the most hotel in Brunei xD) with real-ocean-wave wave.

(No, di Empire nada yg cemani :p)

it was not until they told us there was a 'showroom' for us to see that we all realized what it was all about; they were trying to sale that tiny unit (they called an apartment) to us. 

Like, ani vacation kh? business trip kh?

Someone even said out loud, "ani sambil menyelam minum air ni" whose English version was 'Killing two birds with one Stone'

Besides, that I guess I would call a studio room unit, cost BND200k. macam, do you know I could buy a two storey house complete with a garage here in Brunei?

I might as well invest that same amount buying a studio room in the UK.

Yes, it was a nice place to take picture of 

but the intention was wrong, wayyyyyyy wrongggggg.

i think the reason why most people got pissed was, even from the beginning, when we were supposed to leave at 9am, some fucktards decided to wake up late and we waited for them like almost an hour and when they finally got into the van, had the nerve to ketawa2 lagi tu. like, where are your manners you pieace of shit?! sorry pun nada. and the worst of all, one of them is the BBRC committee member. Just. First, org lain lambat. Second, macam kana tipu ada jua kami atu.

When we finally made our way (for real this time) to Tagaytay, the journey was knowledgeable for me. The road we had to use was mostly rural areas it was very humbling.

(we couldn't really take proper picture from inside the van coz the window was tainted and pictures came out bad. So, I'm only going to share a couple proper ones I managed to capture before I gave up. LOL)

One part that tug at my heart string was when I say this very petite little girl, running across the road after her brothers or friends and went inside a box like place. At first I didn't realized what it was until my supervisor asked "rumahnya kah tu?" and we both kinda had our hands at our hearts. The house was very small and lowered ceiling, literally sat on the pavement beside the road. I remember thinking, "you should be grateful" to myself. 

there were a lot more like that one as we go up the slope (Tagaytay Highlands, go figures. and it was said to be cold like the one in Genting Highland, Malaysia).

there were also a lot of craftsmanship factory-like shop, beautiful vases shop, and random kedai runcit along the road. I wish I could draw all this places since I didn't manage to get picture. BUT lets google them and share here some of the things I encounter along the journey. hehe (i will notify which one is not mine)

What so disappointing was that, because we already taken so much time waiting and stopping by shopping for property, by the time we got there, around 1pm  i think and had lunch, it started raining. we saw the Tagaytay volcanic island from the road on the way to our lunch spot but because of the rain, we didn't get to go nearer or sight seeing the whole place near the island. once again, I didn't realized that until we left SkyRanch. SkyRanch was a theme park which we didn't get to go in coz people were already itchy to go shopping at our final stop, Paseo De Santa Rosa Factory Outlet Store Mall. 

Me and super was disappointed coz we really wana go and play at the theme park.

We did shop at Factory Outlet Stores; me shopped at Mark & Spencer. and the happiest moment there was when I saw the National Book Store.

Because I saw on FB (a FB friend from the Philippines) shared a post about National Book Store having a major sales. But too bad there was no sale at the Paseo branch. :( 

We found the famous Goldilocks store outside the mall perimeters and super bought tons.

I beli also but not like her. LOL

after that, around 6pm, we finally called it a day and went back to our apartment. 

I think, if it wasn't for the Paseo shopping stop, I'd be very devastated for the wasted day.

I seriously need to polish my interviewee skill.

and I think interviewer should at least do their homework too. Like, prepare your questions? 

Just my opinion
but I believe conversation comes from both sides.
You can't expect me to just talk, can you?
It's the first time we are meeting each other. 
We both are awkward.
Since I'm the interviewee, I think I am allowed to 'speak when spoken to'.
You on the other hand should at least keep the conversation going.

Seriously, I've been interviewed by this company twice and both times been like that.

I know interviews are meant to be quote serious unquote but still.

I've been to a lot of interviews and no matter how strict the nature of the interview was at least they know what they were doing and asking of me.

I know. I'm ranting. and some of you might think, "It's not the interviewer, it's you" bla bla bla but really, as disappointed as I am with myself, I still think it could've been better on their side too.

Sigh.

Not all of us is a natural in keeping a conversation going, ok?

the IN thing

So, there's this IN thing right now; the easy peel nail polish. not sure if it's the brand but the stickers had MY MALAEKA on it.

(the morning after I applied the nail polish)

I was intrigued and bought one too.
It was easy to peel off alright.

(easy peel like everyone was saying)

It's just ...it cost me BND6. for 8ml. like, WTF?!

even SilkyGirl's, SkinFood's, Etude's, FaceShop's, and Holika's nail polishes cost me less than BND5/BND7 each and they're more than 11ml each! like WTH?!

the fact that this easy peel off nail polish couldn't even last a day (becoz the polish is glue-like, it peeled itself slowly as I made constant contact with water) tick me off. 

 (almost half the day gone and it peels off on its own at the edge)

to me, nail polish are supposed to last longer. they are meant to stay longer. Not that I wear mine often but when I do, i like them to stay at least two days after application (coz normally I got bored after two days and removed them off via nail polish remover).

what become of my nails when i peeled them nail polish off?

dry-looking and scarred, like the nail polish peeled off a thin layer of nails too. 
I don't like it. 

I know the nail polish remover isn't that great either but at least it doesn't make my nails looked like they've been scraped.

I was just disappointed with this product. Not worth my $6 and it's very small. the phrase "untuk main-main" ticked me off even further.
I know why it was the IN thing now; for muslims women who bought this, they just find it convenient. they could easily peel the nail polish off before prayer. and re-applying them again afterwards. peel off again for the next prayer. re-applying. peel off. re-applying. 
Macam, why make life so hard? Why not do what I do; using it during 'the time of the month' saja? Easy. applied once, then remove them three four days later? instead of applying-peel off-redo-ing every few hours. a day? 
why not?

a/n: sorry for the horror of my dry/ugly-looking/nails/cuticles. hahaha sedang mencuba untuk merajinkan diri memakai lotion. :P
