Netflix Update

Hi.

yes. you can say I am making full use of my subscription. I mean, it is about BND13 a month. So, might as well.

here goes:

1. Brooklyn99

I finished Brooklyn 99 before deciding to watch the Hill House. 6 seasons and the ending kinda aburpt. I think I read somewhere about it ending but still, I wanna watch becoz of one particular scene, the 'I want It That Wat' scene.

10/10 will recommend you to watch coz they noice. LOL

I just wiki and it says season 6 memang 18 episodes saja. AND there's season 7 with 13 episodes! last aired April 2020 katanya. SOOOOO Netflix when you gonna release that on the platform?

2. The Haunting of Hill House

ok, awal-awal, i was like, scardy cat and I watched this in broad DAY light! then after second episode, I was soooo intrigued that I stopped thinking so much about the ghost and more about the effing back story. It's a good series and I finished it in a day. 

just one thing tho, too much flashback and POV (point of views). It made me feel like, if I paused, I lose track of what was going on or where the story come from and where its heading. like, damn! 

but it reminds me of the me back in high school, when I wrote stories and made lots of flashbacks and lost of POV. it made me feel better; if film/tv series writter made it happened, I guess I can too.

overall, becoz of all the flashbacks, the story become so twisted and got you so intrigued.

8/10 will recommend to watch.

3. Little Women

I put this off for so long. the thing with netflix 'download' is that, it has expiry date. and this one was going to expire on 9th August. So as soon as I finished Hill House. i wanted to watch becoz of Saoirse and Emma. I haven't really read the book. but i have a memory of how the story goes? or maybe that was Pride and Prejudice? since that story also has 4 sisters. i think. ok, besides the point.

I thought my favorite character would be Jo, since she's a writter and I want to be a writter too. I also thought, Meg would be a favorite but no. Beth was musical and shy. Amy was a painter. and I like the strong willed, decisive Amy more. I mean, I still like Jo but in the end, I like Amy.

7/10 recommending you to give this movie a go. for the morale.

and now that I finished with these, maybe I can go and watch Kingdom, 

the korean zombie historical drama series. It has two seasons, 6 episodes each, almost 1 hour long per episode. but I don't know. subtitles. we'll see.

there's also another series on my List; Locke & Key. 

10 episodes, about 40mins each. I watched the thrailers and it reminded me of Hill House a bit. maybe I'll keep this one on my list a bit longer. I can't watch similar series in two days. it'd do me no good.

OR i should watch Anne with an E, 

its Anne of GreenGable story. but this has Little Women vibes to it. and it has 3 seasons. I don't think I have the patient to watch this one yet.

Pretty Little Liars

I finally finished the series. I finally did it!

bought the fourth arc (book 13-16) back in 2016. 

Crushed, Deadly, Toxic, and Vicious.

took me forever to start (Four years to be exact) and when I finally started back in March 2020, I only read book 13 on the weekends whilst I was doing my laundry.

and I think I stopped somewhere in between and began again in Jun 2020 till I finished and then continue to finish the other 3 books by 3rd Jul 2020. Wow. even I find it crazy!

If I accumulate those times/days, I finished 4 books in a month! dammmmmm #readingisfun

and the ending? a bit weak. 

but you gotta give it to Sara Shepard, applause for producing them 16 books. 👏👏👏

I don't know why it took me F.O.R.E.V.E.R. to finish this series. They're the type of books that are just easy to read. I love it! but yeah, that ending, a tat bit weak. I guess you gotta give them a happy ending considering what hell they been through, right?

Look at them. So satisfying.

it's satisfying to finally see them books together in a section.

Last time, Arc 4 was put at a different section.

Is it me or is it normal to not have a complete, same cover, book series? coz with this series, I have two outsider covers.

Book 8 cover was probably released when the series was made into TV show and got famous.

I still have one more book to read of this series, Pretty Little Secrets.

I bought it probably back in 2013. its the companion book kinda thing. 

There's another one I just find out exist while reading Arc 4. At the 'by Sara Shepard' page it says, there's another companion book called Ali's Pretty Little Lies.

being the 'I must collect them all' kinda person, I need to have this book too. OR I could just download a pdf version. (I learned that book is being pdf while I was Googling for the cover)

Umm..I don't know. So far, I've only been watching Studio Ghibli and Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures. LOL

masa awal2 I was like, "yassss I can watch The Last Tsar" but 2 episodes in and I found out they ate almost 20gb of 80gb of my monthly phone data. Like, FUCCCCKKKKKKK. no, I don't have home wifi. it was only 10 days after my monthly data reset date. So, from then on, I learned to download what I want to watch first instead of streaming. 

So far:

I have finished Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures season 1 & 2. I haven't started on Season 3. coz I'm giving it a break. It was a good show. reminds me of Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse. except, Barbie is a teenager now. but the sisters have not age a day. 🤔

I watched Korean Historical Drama (a genre that is somewhat the rage on Netflix btw. Like, tau ya ramai peminat korean drama di dunia ani LOL) The Emperor Owner of the Mask. 20 episodes. Good but the Crowned Clown is better. 

the anime movies I have watched, as mentioned in my previous post, were all watched via Netflix too. Currently, I have downloaded four more titles: Tales from Earthsea, Princess Mononoke, Whisper of the Heart, and The tale of the Princess Kaguya. but balum ada hati kan sit down and watch. Yes, kalau kan liat any movie / TV show, mesti ikut hati dan perasaan.

I tried to watch The Royal Gambler, pasal ada c Yeo Jin-goo AND actually already downloaded sampai episode 12 out of 24 BUT by episode 5, I wasn't feeling it. Like, nyeh. So, I discarded them allllllll.

Now, I've been downloading A Series of unfortunate Events. it has 3 seasons. I have downloaded season 1 and 4 episodes from season 2. I will try and watch them tomorrow. internet super awesome at the moment. thus, the slowness in downloading is inenvitable.

I'm sure there are a lot more things to watch on Netflix but once you select your preferences, that was all the genre Netflix will promote to you. 

This month would be my second month subscribed to Netflix. but at the rate I'm going, I don't think it'd be worth it for me to continue to be subscribed. I don't know. we'll see. 

Aku kan subscribed to DisneyPlus plang ni next. hahaha just so I can watch old shows. BUTT kan, for example, Hannah Montana, you can actually watch this on youtube for free. maybe not the entire series but you'd still be satisfied with the amount of videos you'd be able to watch.
Currently, I am watching Totally Spies on youtube. yeah there are missing episodes but I'm happy with the ones they decided to share on that free platform.

Hannah Montana 2.016

I thought I've watched the entire Hannah Montana series.

turns out, I only watch up until half way thru season 3 (HM has four seasons).

So, since the 2nd night of Raya until the 3rd night, I've been watching Season 4 (called Hannah Montana Forever) and I was hit with a realization that I know all the HMF songs (coz I bought the OST album) but never actually watch the episodes.

Google is such a good bestfriend at this time of need. ٩◔‿◔۶


I was almost teary for the final episode, Actually, season 4 is really very touchy from start to finish. 
Coz, it's the final season atu kali. 
plus, it's when Miley started to realize that she can't have the best of both world at the same time anymore. and everything just went from a tear falling to crying buckets moment after that (no actually tears were harm. I just have a lot of feels).

I didn't quite understand the magnitude of my (Hannah Montana) obsession

until I realize I have every Hannah Montana songs ever existed.

LOL

I saw a post quoting a Hannah Montana song and I could sang the chorus in my head. You know that feeling you have when you could sing and hear it in your head and your heart just sort of 'itchy' to listen to the song? I had that feeling at that time.

So, here I am, listening to my Hannah Montana songs collection.

I don't know how I got so hooked to that TV show. I was 18/19 years old when the show first aired in 2006 and the Hannah Montana character was like 13/14 of age? 
Maybe I just love the idea of a singer living a double life that sort of thing. hahaha as people who knew me should know that I've always wanted to be a singer. you know, making a living as a singer. (hahaha kata Hasrin, angan-angan atu free)
Besides, the songs were/are pretty catchy and, well, basically my style. xD

Anyway,

Korean folk song

was watching Immortal Song 2 on KBS World late Saturday afternoon.

the theme for that episode was Korean Folk Song.

I wasn't actually planning to watch that show..I was playing games on my phone when the show started
but the first singer started singing, and I was hooked and actually watched the whole show. ahaha

Immortal Song is, to me, and awesome show to show case some of the Kpop artists (Yesung, Jonghyun, Taemin, Luna, and currently Hyoyeon from SMTown had been in that show. Ailee been there too. and that Hyorin kh? the one who sang Let It Go Korean ver also) ability to sing. at the same time, I found out singers that aren't that popular but should be.

I fell in love Sohyang performance for Arirang Alone.

she's 19 and being able to rock that folk song is like, awesome. I can't even sing our own folk song without feeling a tat bit embarass and outdated. LOL sorry my country. I love you no matter what though. LOL
I saw once of her documentary. She was younger then. and somewhat the youngest prodigy of Korean folk song singer. I am no expert but she's good.

i applaused loud when they were done. macam aku liat live jua lah dsana atu. hahaha I was feeling it. 

I should watch the next episode of Immortal Song.
and I think our KBS is a tat bit behind the real scheduling. maybe Music Bank is on time but the rest of the show is not.
I thought about this because, right after the Immortal Song on TV finishes, I was browsing Instagram (as always) and saw a few video post of Immortal Song 2 with Hyoyeon of SNSD in it. like, I watched the entire episode but there was no Hyoyeon on TV but how come on IG got post like that? 
Not that aku rajin kan browse or dig further, I'll just be happy with still having a Korean channel on our cable. LOL
