a Little taken aback by this

I want to quickly get this out of the way before I continue with my final entry for my KL Trip.

xD

let's get on with today's topic;
a Little Taken Aback by This.

as many know, I like to browse youtube.

currently, my obsession is looking up video for Solo Traveler to Japan.

thus, it make sense when below video pops up as a recommendation

Now, you know I've been to Japan back in 2016 and was so in love with that trip that I planned on going back in 2018.

but let's now watch the video first before you read my next set of thoughts.

First of all,
that hurts.

Second of all,
I think I understand what he meant.

I don't know which part I was most offended on, coz in all honesty, I didn't bother looking for muslim-friendly places while planning for my trip. all I care about is looking for the cheapest hostel!

Back in 2016, I noticed all the things he said, about Japanese being scared.
We were being stopped at the airport once we stepped out of the immigration.
then on the train, there were EMERGENCY ALERT posted on the train monitor. the National Security is on high alert it says. I already thought that it was becoz of us when I first saw it.
Yes, there are people who looked at us dari atas ke bawah.

but apart from those awkward experiences, people don't really care about us. I mean, time kami bejalan to the station, buying food in the convenient stores, boarding the train. Nobody took a second glance at us. PLUS there are a lot more kind people I met than the judging/scared glance people.

Japanese really is a polite country, if you project the same.

It is true when he said, Japan isn't really Muslim-Traveler friendly.
Even when you try to Google, there aren't much.
of course lah ada muslim friendly eatery but still those places aren't that easy to get to, at least not to first timer.
From my recent research, Osaka has a lot of Muslim friendly eatery popping up this year and 2018.
even so, masih limited lah.

anyway,
when you watch the video from start to finish, you are gonna hate Mr. Nobita.
LOL
that's my initial reaction, at least.

I was mostly thinking "and you continued to be ignorant?!"

but then again,
it's not like I'm gona live in Japan forever.

I'm mostly gona be there for at least a week at a time. and all becoz of Harry Potter and Disneyland.

So, I get what he was trying to say;

1. they are just scared. which is natural. I mean, I would too. better be safe than sorry.
2. it seems illogical to work so hard to accommodate a group of people who would probably just gona be there for a week. or sekali atu saja they visit Japan.
3. They can't just throw away their culture just for short-term visitors.

it's like when we want people to respect our home when they come around.
yes, we try to make our guest feel comfortable but that doesn't mean they can just do whatever they want or be too demanding, right?

so yeah... I understand.

but I'm afraid, I'm a little scared to go to Japan now.

LOL

I hope Universal Studio Singapore would have the rights to build their own Wizarding World of Harry Potter soon.

Kalau bukan kerana Harry Potter, I wouldn't be this worked up about going to Japan, banar tah.

hahaha odahnya...

but seriously, Mr. Nobita can say whatever he wants and I can be offended and decided upon never setting foot in Japan anymore.
After all, the world doesn't revolve around any of us and Japan will remain one of the top choices for female solo travel to go to.

I just wish I didn't watch the video.

Time do flies

it's 16th already
and I achieved coloring my coloring book up to page 3.

I wonder if you should color this book by page
and
once you started, can you pause in the middle and finish it another day?
coz, I can't do that.
Once I started, I wanted to finish it right away. like there's an itch in my heart when I try to stop and continue another day (as you know, I have other things to do other than lazying around, coloring book).
then,
I realized, that the above is not really normal.

Have you ever heard the term OCD; Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?
Well, I don't have it.
hahaha
Because what I have is actually Selective Perfectionist.
I don't know if that exist. but I strongly believe that that's what I have.

Allow me to explain
I'm a lazy person.
I've mentioned that for so many times already on so many levels.
but once I started, e.g. cleaning my room, I can't stop.
Storyline; I started off with wiping dust off my study table. I will continue to wiped my dressing table, my bookshelves, etc. then, I started sweeping. mopping. dusting some more. the list could go on but you get the idea, right?
I became a perfectionist only when I wanted to be and when the occasion calls for it.

and it does not stop at cleaning.
it continues on at my workplace.
Once I started on job, I have to see it to the finish. obsessing over how many I can finish in an hour or the entire morning.
you know? something like that.
I used the word 'obsessing' because that's how it was.

more to the second meaning.
the worrying.
I might upset my other colleagues in the process. ┐(‘~`;)┌

anyhoo..
this isn't a planned post.

I wanted to make something inspirational but I guess this will have to do

Side note:
I watched the Huntsman Winter's War. I was disappointed with the whole story plot. i find the title misleading. Either that or I don't understand English. but Emily Blunt is a beauty as ever! love her!

. . .

oh look at that...I Googled it and found it on UrbanDictionary

that should explain it. ヾ(〃^∇^)ノ

Time

I went out for lunch with a office mate, Mel, couple of weeks ago and one conversation stuck with me and made me want to make this post.

It's about friends, making time, and keeping the friendship.

I don't remember how the conversation come to be but it was when I mentioned about me having lunch with my lovelies; Zawir, Buzz and Kuch.

I aslo mentioned to her that we've been friends since high school.

and Mel said, 'bisai ah you guys still hang out together. Kalau aku, my friends always so busy and can not make it'.

I literally paused for a couple of seconds. then I said to her, 'well, we were too but we find time'.

and I remember still thinking about what she just said and what my real thoughts were all through out lunch break.

I mean, you find time. these are your lovely friends and yes you are now busy with your own commitment and what not but when one of us suggested something like having lunch or brunch or whatever, you will find time. you make time

I'm a lazy person (yes, being fairly honest) but I would love to just make my time for these lovely people. Unless I really can't then I would just tell them that I can't.

and I was glad. Glad I have the friends that I have now and wouldn't trade them with anything in this world. I'm not just talking about Zawir, Buzz and Kuch. I meant my other (elbeit small) circle of friends; ex-colleague and ex-classmates. I may not be as close to them as I do the other three but they are still friends and I will make time.
besides, it's good to hang out out of your normal circle once in a while. you need it. it's good for the brain. 'broaden your mind! and you can see the future~!' Hermione mimicking Prof. Trelawney in Prisoner of Azkaban. (LOL!).

Point is ladies and gentlemen, it's your choice whether or not you want to keep the friendship. If you make time, you'll keep the friendship and if you don't make time, then, paham paham lah.

I know we don't all need friends and be just glad to be with our family members. but I guess everybody have their own stories and some of us need that outside influences to get thru life.

Just, make the time.

. . .

a/n: I feel sorry for these people; who don't make time or are not given time.

He shouldn't have

went on a movie 'outing' with a colleague last couple of weeks. Lelaki. and just us two.

at first, I thought, nyeh normal outing, mcm sama cZawir.

but as soon as we met at the agreed meeting place, boy was I wrong.

ok, maybe I am reading too much into this but there were serious 'hitting on' that night. I wont go into details but it was so creepy and embarrassing to say the least.

If he agreed that that night was just a normal 'colleague' movie outing, he shouldn't;

  • Suggested to me that I should wear a shortlegged coverall with knee-high socks when I was wearing a longsleeve tshirt and bertudung. Excuse me? were you embarass about my appearance? I said I wouldn't read too much into it but it is still offensive.
  • He also shouldn't have suggested how I can cover up before going out of the house and changed once outside. Because, I may not be that close with my mom but we have an unspeakable trust between us. and i have never deceived her that way.
  • Let me carry the tray of food from the counter to our seats. I know. to some, maybe this is nothing. but to me, it's THAT big of a deal.
  • Hide the fact that he was not officially broken off his engagement. (I know he was engaged. I heard rumors that he wasn't anymore and before the movie outing, I asked him 'tunang mu ok inda?' to which he shook his head and I didnt press on becoz I don't want to seem insensitive about the subject. You know, mana tau ia broken hearted kh, bru di putusnya tunang kh. but stupid me! I should've known better. 'Org Gila' said the same thing, didn't he? and he didn't actually broke it off, did he? JUST. STUPID.) and had me guarded the whole night. scared that I would be a victim of 'kana tampar mengajut' and called 'perampas tunang orang' or something. I was mostly embarass about this part. more embarrass than when I was carrying the tray. ARGH! MEN ARE SO STUPID!
  • have treated me like I was that easy. coz, I would've kick your sorry ass, if you thought that your sap story about your relationship would make me all sorry and all over you.
  • have make me feel so stupid about myself. Coz, I am not stupid.

But most of all, I shouldn't have agreed to go out with him in the first place.

I'm not gona again. especially when he kept on bragging about how he didn't approach the girl and it was her who approach him. and that I was offering him to watch the movie instead of the other way round. I reminded him, of course, that it was his idea, not mine.

ARGH! what. a. duche!

thank you man, for making me feel so stupid.

this should be a reminder to all that, don't be like me. Ok? I trust people too easy despite me being guarded and all. just do what Professor Moody told us to do, "Constant Vigilant!"

why can't genuinely good man ever happened to me??

Writers

after spending so much time on Asianfanfics.com these past years, I realized something.

real authors need real (heavily constructive) criticism.

I mean the most I see people comment about a story is about how cute this character look (when in actualness the author has not even describe their cuteness in words) or how cute the main characters were together (hmm. I guess that's the disadvantage of writing a fan fiction. coz you're using characters from the real life; Kpop artists and such).

Point is, i don't think most of us want this.

I, for one, would love a criticism on the way I laid out the story, my grammar (though i wouldn't listen much on that since English is only my second language. LOL), and you know, REAL criticism!

but I guess (again) I have to take into account that that website if full of hormonal teenagers, who was so keen into the story line alone (without really caring how the words were laid down as long as there's the name of their fav kpop artists in it) than how it was laid out etc etc.

I'm not saying I'm THAT good! gawd, no. I've got a lot to learn too.

it just frustrates me that I'm posting my story there in the hope that I would get decent, constructive, criticism that would help me improve myself in one way or another, but I got this childish review instead.

I had one good review once for one of my stories and although it stinks and i kinda don't like it in the beginning, I still appreciate it. it got me where I am today.

but since me and that person are not talking to each other anymore, I have no one else to ask harsh review from.

sigh.

You really don't miss your water, till the well runs dry.

ANYWAY~~

I WANT CONSTRUCTIVE REVIEWS ON MY STORY!

ANYBODY WANTS TO BE THE REVIEWER?!

also, desperate time calls for desperate measures.

A tat bit Personal

Things happened.

and most of the time we do not know for what reason.

So, I'm just gona sit here and pretend nothing ever happened.

Coz, no matter what, my explanation won't suffice you.

So, why bother?

I did try. maybe not to the best of my ability but still, I tried.

My question now is, what have you done to make it work?

Just as I may have made up excuses as to why I did not, I'm sure you have some too.

Thus, for now, 그만해요.let's us give it a rest.

Aku pun banyak lagi kan ku pikirkan. Masalah ku sendiri lagi aku kapai2, ni kan memikirkn pasal ani tah lagi? tunggu tah dulu ah.

I'm sure time is all we need.
