Sushi Head

Here comes my Sushi headband story

took me at least a few days looking for that sushi plate thingy.

I actually had the vision of that headband, like, end November 2017, kali. 

I remember going to this Japanese store at the Mall, looking for the fake Sushi keychain thingy that I once bought for me and my geng. It sold out.

I remember getting on ebay searching for it but I find them to be soooooo expensive that I chose not to waste my money on them, especially when I'm not willing to pay for shipment, and free shipment usually datang lambat ya amat. what if barang atu datang after my annual dinner? not gonna take the risk.

I went ke Miri looking for fake sushi at Daiso but only found Sushi related erasers. and they were quite small.

the other two not sushi related.

dont judge me.

I have issue.

I was sedih and almost menyamal and giving up.


until maybe two weeks before the annual dinner, aku baru tepikir kan cari mainan.

I remember dragging Buzz and Zawew looking for mainan sushi at famos toy stores. LOL

but of course, this saying is so true, 'bila dicari, inda tia ada'.

I finally found the toy at the Mall, arah kadai belakang2, yg we seldom round/jalan2 at, a week before the dinner.

my happiness is something!

for once, my vision is coming true!

I FOUND MY SUSHI!



but being me, I waited until the night before the dinner to do my DIY headband.

nothing like the rush feeling of finishing your headhand a night before your dinner.

LOL

First, I glue-gun-ed all there pieces.

Then, I glue-gun-ed the head band under the plate.

After the glue hardened, I finally glue-gun-ed the sushi onto the plate

of course I finished almost past midnight.

the next morning, I woke up early to buy one last item.

and I actually got ready around 3 and arrived at the venue at 5:30pm.

registration started at 6pm.

bahaahah I have never been that early to the annual dinner, EVER.

lucky got nice view while waiting for cBuzz.

BBB Annual Dinner

BBB annual dinner happened on 27th Jan 2018.

This year punya theme was One Night in Tokyo.

of course I was super excited for this theme.
especially after my Japan Trip in 2016.

When the email came out, I already know what i wanted to wear; Not a Kimono.

LOL

coz I thought, for one time thing, buying a Kimono or making one is not worth it.

kudos to those who made an effort to do so.

I bought my outfit back in December 2017, at the airport's H&M, going home after my KL trip. 
it was on sell and I bought the blouse for RM40! which is around BND14! laik~~ wot wottt

My headband story will be on the next post.

But I did anyway. He won Best Male Dress that night. and thats three years in a row for him.

and I realized, I didn't take much picture with other people. LOL oops

on that night also, it was my 10th anniversary appreciation award working with BBB.

We were to accept this appreciation award on stage.
it was awkward as fcuk.
coz instead of the normal name-called-walk-up-the-stage-receive-award-then-walk-back-down, we were told to lined up on stage (about 10 of us in my group), and waited as one by one of us kena presented with the award and then once done semua, baru tah turun. laik~ HR person yg in charge of that, what are you doing with your life right now?

anyway, point of me telling about the stage thing, is because I wanted to tell you this perasan story.

the MC for the night was Nadzri, also a DJ at Bruneian number one radio station.
I LOVE listening to him on the radio most morning, on my way to work.
back to the story please.
as I walked up the stage, he was there, I smiled, and he right away said, as he pointed at his own head when he saw my head band, "That's very cute! I like that". and I was like, in, I hope, proper confident level, "thank you". I know my smile was big coz I can feel my cheeks hurt. but that could also be from my stage fright. hahahaha
So, becoz of that nice comment, I decided to take picture with him when the function ended and before ia hilang/balik.
He was nice! He agreed to take picture with us.

Another nice evening with BBB. 

I may have strong opinion on that place but after 10 years, even I have my sense of loyalty to them.

Been so busy!! and tired!! and most of all, lazy.
you have no idea just how lazy I am to force myself to make a post.
Even when, as of this moment, I have at least 4 stories to tell. with pictures. :P

Thus, to make up for lost time, I am making this post.

Today's topic is Preference.

Seems nonchalant but it's not.

Last Sunday, we met up with cKuch and her little family, di Mall.
I arrived a little early and while waiting for them, I stopped by Pandora.
This kadai Pandora is pretty new, I think opened 2016? and I liked to stopped by the 'ring' table. 
it has that springy string attached to the displayed ring, and you can pulled them to try on and then put it back on its holder (kira mcm anti-theft lah ah. since that table up front in the open). 
I bought one ring last year, as a gift to myself (LOL) and I decided to buy another ring this year.
So, last Sunday, I went there again to have a look, saw the ring I want and decided to try them on. 
at the moment, there is a sale going on, where by, you buy 3 items and get the 4th one for free.
I was like, "hmmm". I decided to buy one of the bracelet coz I thought, I can always 'top up' the charm.
as I was trying on the bracelet, while the sales person helping me search a charm, a woman came into the shop with her son. I remember she was kinda loud. She kinda just circled the kadai. by the second round, I heard her say, very loudly too, "that's why Diamond is valuable" she said to her son. and then she continued, "you must buy a girl diamond" and I 'tuli kan telinga' after that. I remember I shook my head lightly and smiled at the sales person in front of as she too heard what the woman just said.

Wanna know what was in my head at that two time I acknowledged the woman's presence?

1. It's true. Diamond has more value than Pandora's silver sterling.
2. but why are you in this shop and not at the Diamond store opposite??

I am aware that buying jewelries from Pandora is not really a good investment. 
compared to Gold, Pandora is a little worthless.
Most Pandora items are of Silver Sterling. but they do have dual colored items, like silver plus 14k Gold. they also have Rose Gold colored items.
I am no expert in Gold/Silver/Diamond values.
the only reason I buy Pandora rings are becoz, I finally could I afford it.
LOL
and they are really pretty!
(I have no real reason why)

I know there are many affordable Gold pieces but it's not my favorite color. LOL

I don't know man. I could afford a gold ring but I guess, I'll save that for my future husband to buy me. muahahahahahaha.

anyway,

Preference.

there are so many other types of jewelers; Tiffany & Co, Swarovski (is this the name of the company? I am not sure xP), and Cartier to name a few.

If you can afford Tiffany, go ahead and buy from them.

If you can afford to buy Gold pieces from traditional Gold Dealers/Shops, go ahead.

If you can afford Diamond, go ahead and buy them diamonds.

Buy which ever jewelry you prefer.

but please, don't undermine other people's choices.

Tiffany of SNSD and Jessica Jung (former SNSD member) released first solo mini album this month.

I wasn't really digging Tiffany's I Just Wanna Dance.

but after a few listen, it was actually an Ok song.

I do like her Once In a Lifetime song the first I listened to it.

Jessica came out a week after Tiffany's.

I instantly LOVE her Fly!

her Big Mini World is catchy too. very cute!

between the both of them, there maybe a little bias-ness in my 'opinion'.
After Jessica was dismissed from SNSD, I was kinda, annoyed, by all the other SNSD members IG posts that led me to unfollow all of them. I was especially annoyed by Tiffany's for no apparent reason. LOL
So, when Tiffany's song came out, I was actually have decided that I'm gonna hate it ahaha and until today, I still refuse to watch Tiffany's I Just Wanna Dance MV.
I listened and watched Jessica's Fly MV and as mentioned, I instantly in love. Jessica's mv is very colorful. I like it.

I haven't read Eng Sub lyrics for both song but base on the English sang, I think Jessica's is more inspirational. Tiffany's is mostly just being bratty.

Ok, I should stop. I'm really just hating on Tiffany. HAHAHAHA

additional note: I think, Jessica's and Taeyeon's first single were both very inspirational. I like that kind of song.

Sorry, Not Really

as I was buying a new pen (PENS) last weekend, 
I realized that I'm truly a sucker for stationery;
Pens, cute erasers, pencils (although I seldom use pencils now that I'm older), pencil cases, ruler (yes, like, I don't know when I'm gonna be using these lovely pieces of measurements), colored markers (sharpies ones are too expensive, so I often buy the kiddies one in 12s ≧◡≦ ), paper clips (YES.PAPER.CLIPS) and journals. Of course, its not limited to the above mentioned items. It could be so much more.

previously, klu phone terlock while listening to music, you have to double click the Home button to go 'back', 'play', 'next' a song or minimize/maximize volume.

Now, if your phone terlock while listening to music and then you feel like next-ing your song, you can just click the Home button once and alot of those player thingys appear. the whole shananigans!





and also, those notification pop ups, dulu, if tons of notifications pops up at once, once you unlock the phone, you go straight to the latest one yg berbunyi. 
Now, you can choose which notification you want to open first. (slide right to open..)

there are alot other new features (of course) but the above are the only one that really matter to me. (wawawa..ngaleh ku kn menghujah kn the differences between the new and the old...)

i hope this one stays longer. coz seriously, new things made me nervous.
