Back to Hogwarts Day

First composed: 03 Sep 2018 10pm

I didn't realized this until the day I posted my nephews Math X HarryPotter Day pictures.

My brother texted me on 25th Aug asking me to help with his sons' school project.
themed: Harry Potter.

He said the project is for the coming Monday 27th Aug.

So, I helped by sending pictures (see below)

by this point, I was actually angan2 kan buat kan wand. but since last minit, I didn't say anything.

by Monday night, i texted, "hows the nephews' project?"

he said it was actually for the coming Saturday, 1st Sep.

Suspen.

but now that I have time, I told him that I will make them a wand each. coz I thought it'd be a fun project.

So, I went and bought the supplies.

I even went and eat at a sushi place just so I could take the one-time used chopstick home. ('tapau' was my choice of word that day LOL). of course I cleaned them before hand.

took me 5 hours to finish and a full day to dry the paint.

it was worth it.

I was so pleased with the outcome.

the third short wand is for my niece.

I didn't think it would come out like it did.

I was so blown.

like,

So Saturday happened and I only remembered to ask late Sunday night.

my brother said; teachers were impressed. they thought the boys bought the costume. the older one said his mom made the robe and the wand is hand-made.

I also made them a badge with the house of their choice. the oldest picked Slytherin coz he wanted snake (i think he already made a plan with his friends) and the little one wanted blue, Ravenclaw.

pictures used for of the badges. but no picture of actual badge.
coz I'm a terrible blogger.
lol

LOL

Turned out 1st September is the official Back To Hogwarts Day. and now I understand why my nephews' school decided to do their theme on that day. I also thought, the teacher who suggested that theme must be a Potterhead. LOL

No matter, I'm glad to help my nephews with their projects. It made me realize I can do crafty thing. I mean I always know I can, but that tiny validation and appreciation of my work made me believe that I truly can.

So, thank you brother for the opportunity.

this little project inspired me to become a wand maker.

🤗

A/N: apologies for the bad quality of pictures. especially the one with grey blocks. My room was super messy at that point of my life hence the grey blocks. I promise my life is starting to get less cluttery now. I'm learning and reminding myself to take proper pictures for blogging in the future. #hwaiting

18th Sep

Hello lovely people.

I decided to just post this now before I procrastinate again. :D

So, I went for a leisure (and in my head; SHOPPING!) trip to Kuala Lumpur on the 18th Sep - 21st Sep with Bazilah.

We arrived at our hotel and finally into our room at around 8:30pm. we lived at Capitol Hotel, Bukit Bintang. (Bisai lah this hotel, turun saja, there's Starbucks, a burger place, 7Eleven, Low Yat Plaza, BB Plaza too. and within a walking distant to Fahrenheit 88, Lot 10 and Pavilion)

Once we rehat and settled sekajab, we went straight to Pavilion.

Bazilah shopped at MAC for her mother's compact powder.

Then we went to find food coz we so hungry balum makan since 3pm++ (we didnt eat on the plane). We decided to eat at Subway. Sandwich yumminess!

We searched for Sketchers store afterwards (we were rushing; it was almost closing time) coz I wanted to buy the shoes that was similar to Onew's (don't judge me, please) but nada that shoe. I shrugged it off and said I'll look for it tomorrow. at some other mall.

Because of all the constructions going on around Bukit Bintang, we got lost on our way home. I was mostly worried coz it was just us two. It wasn't deserted though the place that we past thru, but I was cautious. when we finally walked out of an alley, We saw Nandos and since I've been craving for Nandos chicken for SO. LONG. I decided that we should rest for awhile there and Googled our way back to the hotel. Bazilah Googled while I ordered for take-aways. when our food was ready, we went out again and lucky I recognized a certain parking lot and convinced Bazilah to just walked down that road to our hotel. Alhamdulillah, finally kejumpahan tah jua hotel kami ani. Sikit lagi ku panic attack bah. LOL

Sudah di Hotel atu, we freshened up and eat our Nandos.

hahah tangah2malam lah jua kami mengasak makanan atu and chit chatting till maybe around 1am++  then soon enough, Day 1 was over.

I didn't sleep till 4am in the morning though. Normal plang tu. For me at least. I always have a hard time sleeping in a 'new' place.

What I like most that from Day 1 was that I didn't think about work. at. all

and before I end this post, this is how the room looked like;

ada tuk iron baju. I was thinking on renting them before I came that day. turns out kena provide for use. awesomeness!
and a real space saver; that complimentary drinks/boiling-water-kettle/cawan were all put in the almari.

I forgot to take picture of the bathroom. Hose/Pipe water was provided near the toilet. a must for Bruneian, I guess. LOL thumbs up for that.

It was a very comfy stay.

A/N: Day 2 is up next.

Nostalgic

I don't remember how it came to be but I came accross Polly Pockets mainan on ebay!

they brought back a very sad childhood memories. Sad but thankful too.

Because, I didn't have one as my own. I only got to play the one my little cousin had. You see, she was the youngest and everything she ever wanted, she got them.
The sad part is that I had to play my cousin's. the thankful part, I still got to play them!
ahahah Life is fair indeed. ;)
But how I envy my cousin so much at that time. my mom is not the kind yg mendulur and Polly Pocket was quite pricey too. So ..*shrugged* yeah..

these are the ones yg 'we' used to have;

ahhh... berabis nostalgiaaaa!!

this Pencil Case was my fav. I used to show it off in school (eventhough it wasn't mine to show off hahaha)

this Big Mansion was amazing! with the 'glass' patio and came with a Car.

this was the biggest price of all; a Cinderella Castle~! Came with the carriage and all!

They don't make this anymore.

the pencil case alone cost a few hundreds euros! and it was labelled 'Boxed. Unopened. Classic collection'. mcm, tempted ku kan bali. If I was an impulsive person, I would have. :P

Mainan nowadays berjurit and not as pricey as it was because I have my own money now. :D but of course, everytime I feel like buying, I talked myself into not buying them. because, as much as I want to 'relive' my childhood memory, I am still a 26 years old and I wouldn't know what am supposed to do with it afterwards. Menyamak bilik ku saja.. ahahah

ah well... to each their own. :)

p/s: Back then, I was still convinced that I was gonna be as famous as Britney Spears. BWAHAHAHAHA! goshh..pull yourselves together and smell reality.

p/p/s: I need to go and exercise. 0.0
