When In Seoul. Conclusion.

hold up! you think I am done?

You thought wrong. I need to share to you my thoughts on about going to Seoul.

Hi.

Yes, I am not done yet! but really this will be the last of this series.

So, my self Q&A for Seoul Trip.

1. How was it?

It was a good experience. for first-timer, I think I did well with the planning. 👍🏻

2. What I don't like about Seoul?

  • Obviously I don't mean the entire city. but from where I've been, I'm gonna say, I don't like riding the train during rush hour. not gonna even try to compare it to Japan rush hour. like, no.
  • For some reason, I came across a lot of snobbish young adults, or even older. Like, apakan? Tinggi sangat kah darjat mu that you have to look down on me?
  • THOSE. FUCKIN. CULT. DUO. I'm serious about that mini anxiety attack I got every time I remembered it.

3. What I like about Seoul?

  • Kind ahjummas. During my research, I read a lot about angry ahjummas and prepared myself for it. But surprisingly, they were the most kind and sweet people I met in the entire trip.
  • Korean Skin Care products so accessible! and those Free Gifts upon purchase are real.
  • Being approached by fellow Muslim who are Korean. one time, in subways, an ahjussi bagi Salam to us and we without hesitation jawab and he calmly introduced himself "I'm Korean Muslim". I just bowed my head and smiled. Sometimes those little gesture from strangers calm me.
4. Will I'll be planning to go back?

Maybe. but as mentioned in previous post, I have mini anxiety attack when I think about the CULT and heavy traffic on the train during rush hour. COZ ONE TIME! I LITERALLY BOUNCED OF AN AHJUSSI TUMMY OUT OF THE TRAIN! not a good memory! I ACTUALLY STOPPED AT A TIANG AND HUGGED IT! I WAS THAT TERRIFIED!
I don't know man. Maybe its just me with my anxiety around crowded area. BUT IT WASN'T THIS BAD WHEN I WAS IN JAPAN. AND I WAS ALONE!
I don't know. Maybe if I went there with a guy friend or with a bigger group, maybe I will consider it.

and with that, I'll end this series here with a videoclip that was released in the beginning of my Kpop craze;

Super Junior & Girls' Generation - SEOUL.

hmmm.. I might come back. there are places in this MV I didn't get to visit.

Where Shindong and Sunny met
That Han River Bridge thing.

When in Seoul part 5

yayyy we made it, part 5!

Hi guys.

Welcome back and thank u for coming back.

Today's post gonna be about our final day in Seoul, Day 5, and our visit to Lotte World.

My friend belanja me the ticket to the theme park, thank U!! and with that ticket, it includes the entrance fee to the Folk Museum.

We first entered the theme park. and walked around. We didn't get to play any of the games tho. coz my friend was afraid of heights and the other game has some major queues.

I mean it's not Disneyland but I guess it's suffice. Ah! We went on a Friday so that should explain the crowds.
wow! that was the only pictures I have of the theme park. wow. it really is painful making this post series. They keep reminding of all the pictures I have lost.

Anyway, after making a couple of round trying to find a ride, we ended up going to the Folk Museum, inside the mall. Lotte World is actually a mall.
actually, Lotte World and its theme parks reminds me of Genting Highland in Malaysia. same theme or concept.

now, the museum was almost deserted. Like, really. We will meet a couple of people and then, we were alone again. I guess know was excited as I was. I mean, look at this fancy miniature thingy!

There were also some larger scale display and a life scale display of which I no longer have a copy of.

For more interactive activities I did at the museum, kindly check my IG.

and I don't remember what we did afterwards. Like, I have no further recollections of that trip other than going to the airport. LOL

I think we just when back to the hostel to rest and when out to eat and tried to shop in Myeongdong. I think lah.

and just like that, the trip came to an end.

and so is this post series.

I hope you enjoy my stories. Hopefully I'll be rajin enough to share stories from my Japan solo trip too in the near future.

Until then, thank u for coming this far guys. I appreciate it.

When In Seoul part 4

Hi guys.

Yassss Part 4 now.

onto Day 4 of the Seoul Trip.  We went to Itaewon and Insadong.

First stop, Itaewon.

Not my picture. and this could be a wrong street too. I got it off Google.

I remember we started the day pretty late. Like we got to Itaewon almost midday. We jalan2 for awhile, exploring the area and tried shopping for sport shoes. I said try becoz I found the SHINee colored adidas but the shop didn't have my size. Like, ok sis.

And after a while, we decided to go look for food. I remember we stopped by a bakery too.

Ganya, no picture, guys. You gonna have to take my word for it.

After the bakery, we went to the restaurant not on my itinerary.

I think this is the same place. Hmm..I think it is the same place.

ada cat

but it's halal food, so teruskan ja. there were actually lots of halal restaurant in Itaewon and mostly indian or arabic cuisine. but I wanted Korean style, so that was why I insisted in going to the Hajj.

The tteobokki was awesome! not so padas.

The ahjumma, who didn't really look like an ahjumma was very chatty. She speak little English but she tried her best. I appreciate her effort to made us feel welcome.
She is also a Korean muslim.

I think we spent almost 2-3 hours there. I also think we just wanted to sit down LOL guys, our legs were like jelly at this point.

Of course we have to leave, got another place to visit.

but we stopped by a LINE Store which we accidentally come across. I mean,  I played LINE Play guys. I have to stop here.

For more pictures from LINE Store, check them out on my IG.

I bought these two; Tri-Color Pen and a mouse pad.

We went to Insadong next and it was starting to get dark when we arrived.

this was where I bought most of my souvenir. 😆 I really like that authentic tourist souvenir shops.

Not my picture

We found this place also. Which I saw in picture during my initial research but thought I might not find it. but what do you know?

I didn't take picture of the exact shop but I bought my Little Prince picture from here.

coz it reminds me of Jonghyun and the story behind The Little Prince is also beautiful.

It was a really unique shopping place/area. It was nothing fancy but I still like the feel to it. Glad we came across it.

and that is the end of Day 4.

come back tomorrow for final Day in Seoul.

See you.

annyeong~~

When in Seoul part 3

Hi guys,

as promised this post will be more vibrant.

Day 3. and I called it 'Wearing Hanbok Day'.

We went to two stops; Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village.

We rent our hanbok at a place called Best Hanbok. I already lupa berapa $$. but we rent until 5:30pm and it was still affordable.

at Gyeongbokgung Palace you can visit the area outside for free. To enter the palace ground, you must pay an entrance fee. but if you wear Hanbok, you can enter for free.

We took so many pictures OR my friend took many pictures of me. LOL of course I took picture of her too but towards the end she was too cold to bother. but we still had so many pictures!

Lemme share some:

ALL MY DONG YI FEELS CAME TRUE!

I realized that in most pictures we weren't photobombed much. I think it was becoz people don't really go far into the palace like we did. So, it was nice taking picture when you go further inside the palace area. Yes, the area was so big that we didn't realize we were there for four hours.

Thus, on to the next stop.

We took the subway to Bukchon Hanok Village.

Ok, if you've been following my blog since forever, you know the reason behind wanting to visit this area.
That's right, SuJu 's Attack On The Pin-Up Boys movie.

This place was actually an actual residential area so signs like below was put up.

and this place were more crowded than at the palace. So, photobomed a lot but that can't be helped.

I like the surrounding area. I really like the traditional design. basically, I'm just a suckers for traditional feels.

Enjoy some of these photos:

 I mean, oops. 🤭

After Bukchon, we went back to Gyeongbukgung to return our hanbok.

the under ground was design to fit the atmosphere too.

I love it!

When we finished, we went looking for late lunch and dinner, Halal Kitchen.
and on the way there pun so much things to take picture of. I guess I was that kind of tourist.

Klinik Gigi. I don't know why I find this so amusing. 😆

this was the stairs to the restaurant. the restaurant is to the right after that first set of stairs.

I thought I took picture of the owner. rupanya inda. He looked like Siwon. and he is Korean Muslim.

A picture of the owner on the wall. I must be really tired to not even bother standing up or even zooming in for the picture.

the view from our seat.

I took this food picture becoz he asked me too. His exact question was "Aren't you going to take picture?" LOL like, sir, aku kan enjoy my food saja ni. LOL

It was night time when we left his restaurant.

and we actually got lost. LOL and ended up going around the Gyeongbokgung Palace gates before we finally found a lift that would lead us to the underground subs.

It's not an Az Nuur travel if she didn't get lost. LOL

but as always, tiring but worth it. 10/10

Yes, many pictures this time around. These photos are still on my phone.

. . .

Guys, I was right, I'm going to be doing 5 parts for this. I have two more post to go.

I see then.
