I rewatched this last weekend and thought, yo, this gives me Grand Budapest vibe but only during the baking part.
kinda cliche ish but still good.
I don't know. the acting is cool. last time a twin played by the same person this good was Lindsay Lohan in ParentTrap.
Storyline kinda so-so.
A baker, Stacy, from Chicago becomes a Princess Belgravia. like I said, cliche but still an acceptable storyline to this day.
8/10 for that convincing acting.
oh they did explain how they become so look-a-like. Apparently there was an old great great cousin who rebelled and moved from Montenaro to America. something like that.

2020. The Princess Switch Switched Again.
Again, I rewatch this last weekend and I was confused. How come in the first movie she a Duchess / Lady Margeret and now she is preparing to be Queen?!
Sekali rupanya there's an explanation about how the Former King of Montenaro passed on and the Son abdicated and the next in line to the throne was Margeret. okie.
the storyline was better? but still cliche. now the story is about the future Queen's problem being with someone below her rank.
the extra twist? another look-a-like. and I think its the best character out of the three, Lady Fiona Pembroke (that last name is foreshadow lol. I really thought it'd be spelled like Pamborough or something).
another 8/10 for Lady Fiona character. lol

as previously mentioned, I like Lady Fiona character. So this focus on her is awesome. Except one thing that erk me.
I know right now people be like all inclusive but this movie makes me realize how in your face it is. yes, I'm talking about race. I guess she just trying to produce movies that includes people, like Cinderella version with Brandy. Where the Prince is Asian, the Queen is black, and the King is white. I mean, applause.
but really my initial reaction when I watched this movie was "dammm sh be getting all of them; white, black, asian lol" and did you know that she Philipino? Stacy mentioned that her family in Philipines do hugs. So I Googled and in real life, Vanessa is Philipino. I really didn't know that.
anyway, it's not a bad thing. about the race. I'm just amused. that is all. 🤭 8/10 as well. yeah. just 8. its the cliche that I just can't knock on.
4. Extras!
A Castle for Chrismas.
Ok this I just watched. It was again a cliche. that hallmark kinda chrismas movie but on Netflix.
it's about this writer who become hated for killing one of her book character and she took a vacation to Scotland. Really nice with that change of scenery at least. but still a fuckin cliche.
what gets me excited was the cameos!!! If you have watched the three movies above, you'll know who I was talking about; the Prince butler and the Lady turned Queen lady in waiting/ nanny. I was excited with their entry. I didn't understand until the movie ends that they just there as cameos. ( I read somewhere today that there's a name for this; the Netflix Holiday Universe Cameos)
I give it 8/10 coz Scotland!!

I didn't know that this is the Ben Barnes 'movie' that he was in. I know Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian. hee but reason why I decided to watch this is becoz the army outfit reminds me Prince of Persia. So, Baltic? (Google said Baltic Language or Baltic People. I'm going with Baltic People lol anyway, the map they show is area that my head go to when I said Baltic 😊) Yea, the army outfit attracts me to watch this series.

I should first update that it is now cost me $11 a month subscribing to Netflix. I feel like I wanted to join some other subscription too like Disneyplus and HBOMax but I don't know. I barely open my Netflix as it is. we'll see. go on and ask me why I want to subscribe to Disneyplus and HBOMax? 😝 (Answer: Hawkeye series and Harry Potter 20th anniversary)

umm so.
it's a cute one but storyline kinda nawrrr.
I was questioning why nobody really noticed these group of animal walking around in the city in pack. Laik, THEY HAVE VIBRANT COLORS! They only noticed when the story wanted them to. Laik. no.
I kinda caught on to the human character being scatchy (coz at first I thought this movie was base loosely on Steve Irwin but the character sounded so fake and turns out *dun dun dun*) and I was right.
They tried to give me moral in the end but I was not buying it. I'm sure all animals are love
but predators will remain predators.
4/10 for the colorful aspect of the stories.

but the story is a sequel. on imdb it says 'White Snake 2: Green Snake' and when you scrolled down, it did mention an animation called White Snakes with the same characters from this one. Sooo, confirm, its just not on my Netflix (TIME TO DOWNLOAD NORDVPN).
anyway, cool storyline. I was doing folding my laundry when I was watching this so I watched it from a far most of the time. Basically i just listened. Only turning my head to the screen when ada action. It feels like it was from a game or something. I didn't google deep yo. I am not sure. 😗 anyway, cool storyline and the history or legend behind the pagoda and also incarnations. 8/10 for the graphics. the -2 is for the lips not matching the words. I just checked. rupanya, I watched with English dubbed. patut. I thought about it but I only realized the words not syncing with the lips towards the end, so I didnt bother.

Mushu 2.0!!
actually it's more Aladdin but Chinese version. Instead of Genie, we have a dragon.
I found out about this becoz David So was voicing one of the character. it was only seconds but that seconds got me to watch.
Lupa ku bila I watched this but its not this month. Maybe in Aug/Sep. Anyway, storyline really Aladdin; poor guy, wanting to impress a rich girl so he wished to be looking rich too. Plot twist nya really something. Either I wasn't really read into it but it really was unexpected. 8/10 for being cute and Asian.
Actually. I watched a lot of this Chinese made cartoon. I know I mostly watch becoz Mulan 1998. but they have their own charms.

Update No. 1: I have two IGs. and no, I wasn't as active at either of them. lol I tried to be active on the second one becoz I've continued to buy creative supplies and if i'm not posting about that addiction there, then what is the purpose? So I posted more on the second IG than the first one. I still active reposting posts I liked on both IG stories tho. So that's that. oh, last September 2021 was my one year anniversary with my second IG 🥳️🥳️🥳️
Update no. 2: ummm nothing much happened really in between April and Jul. Just another friendship fall out and I guess I'm to blame, as another friend said to me, "PMS ko kh?" I guess a woman is always at fault for being too emotional 🤷🏻♀️ hahaha people my age are getting married / having babies left and right and here I am, still having friendship problems. 🤣🤣
Update no. 3: Second wave of the pandemic hits Brunei in August 2021 where partial lockdown was implemented. it was very bleaked. I forgot how I got thru the first one and it seems like I kenot take it. I still worked at the office. My team split into two. I'm with Team 1 at the main office. Like, i said. this second one is especially tiring. We may be given permission to go home one hour early or whenever the work is finished. But my boss is the type that don't like for you to go home early before everything is finish. So, even when Team 2 has done their part and go home, Team 1 still have to finish up and sometimes still go home at 5pm the earliest and me, what is balik awal?
On 15th Dec 2021 tho, Brunei entered the Endemic Phase. I don't know what that means. coz it still feels like partial lockdown. I am still working like normal. working hour back to normal, balik 5:30pm but thats normal for me. hahaha i don't see the difference. We still work in a split team. I don't see the point.
Update no. 4: That same August month, I was officially diagnosed with Hypertension. I was 33.
I was actually first told I have 'high blood pressure' when my company was having this 'wellness check' back in December 2020. My BP was too high at that time that they want to call an ambulance straight away to bring me to the emergency. but i know my boss won't let me and i was right. when i informed her about it she was like, "just go on Saturday" that day was Tuesday; four days later. So, I sat on my work place and thought 'welp. if she thinks it can wait till Saturday, i guess its not important'. Realizing too late tho, that night, she did told me to go to nearby clinic to "have a peace of mind" as she put it and get myself checked again. Here's the truth about her that I have known but never spoke out loud; her only worry about me going into emergency that Tuesday was she will have one short staff when she was in the middle of a project and my absence will effect the operation flow.
I did go and have myself checked twice with the same doctor, and once with another doctor, and then another doctor. These three doctors informed me that I was too young to be given a medicine; short info, once you eat high BP medicine, you kenot stop. like ever. So they suggested a change in my diet, exercise, and one doctor insist that I should sleep more. that was the best advise I've ever heard from anyone. but I have been having trouble sleeping for years. Some say it's the internet. some say it's a heart break. but I say, I'm just stress.
I used to be able to sleep like *snap fingers* like that. but not anymore. I told that doctor that the reason why I sleep so late was becoz, night time is the only time I can be creative; journaling. it's the only time I feel like I am myself after hours during the day spent at the office. His other suggestion was, sleep early and do my stuff in the morning before I go to work. it's the nicest thing people ever suggested me do. Most people told me stop and be an adult. like, have you been one? it's so bleak!
Anyway, thats a little bit of story about my medical journey. It wasn't fun. being diagnosed with hypertension doesn't make me less stress, it actually heighten it. Especially on that August Day when the Hospital doctor scolded me for agreeing to other doctors to not start eating the medicine. like, bruh! they're the doctors! of course I listened to them. apadaa.. So, yeah. I makan ubat sekarang. 😬 oh, actually, one of the other doctors actually noticed my high BP back in early Jan 2020 but he told me, high BP won't effect my driving. I just nodded at that time. It wasn't until that Dec 2020 that i realized why the doctor was talking about high BP when I don't even know that I have it. So scary. my sister-in-law did say that many of the youngster that was hospitalized have strokes becoz they didn't know they had high BP. alhamdulillah I finally found out about it but currently hanya bertawaqqal for continuous good health. Aminn ya Rabb.
Update no.5: looks like we will be allowed to travel again by next year. I hope so. coz I can't take it anymore! I have to at least go far away at least once a year. far away where no one can reach me easily. I see artist are now doing live concerts again so there's hope. I was watching fancams of NCT127 The Link live concert in Seoul and it was weird. I only watched clips of it but its weird to watch a fancam and not here screaming. they mostly claps but dammmm be more enthusiastic czennies! like clap until your hand sore. dammm. it's like, the atmosphere would've been better online. at least the artist can here screaming. ani mcm, *bunyi crickets or chacadas* anyway,

Update no.7: currently recovering well from a fever that suddenly attacks me on 17th Dec right as i was trying to sleep. I couldn't kept waking up every hour until 1am. and thats when I realized my face and neck was warm and freaked out coz I need to go to work on 18th Dec (coz some management decided it was a good idea to drastically changed their system on 9th Dec and expect everyone to update before 20 Dec. like why?). So I ate medicine to cool my fever and it worked but my body was so weak still as i arrived at the office at 8:30am and by 5pm I was so done. I requested from my boss to leave early than 5:30pm, the time was like 5:19pm when I finally finished end of day report and she was still unhappy looking but FU. You lucky I still push myself to come to work. other people would've not. Lucky I'm not the fainting type too coz if I was, I would've sued. 😊

I mentioned in my previous post about Netflix that it cost me BND13, well, it actually cost me BND14. hmm thanks foreign money exchange.
I think I used it fairly often. and its been releasing my old time fav movies, like the Mummy, the Mummy Return, The Covenant. I finally watched the full Divergent trilogy. pastu, just recently ada The Day After Tomorrow. I mean, I have watched that movie on DVD for like probably 100 times over but still a good movie.
Now, what I managed to watch (I said manage, but really I mean, when aku ada mood kn liat) thus far:
1. Kingdom.
I knew it was a zombie series and I don't really like zombie movies/series but I make an acception becoz the movie was set in Joseon era, I think, and I quite like the theory of it. 10/10 will watch season when it came out but there is no news when the 3rd season gonna be made. ending in season 2 is annoying. I need to know what's next.
2. Locke and Key.
the start was a little 'erm. what?'
but as I continued to watch, I like it and became intrigue. but the key thing makes me uncomfortable soo..yeah..tis magic and if you like that element, you shud give it a try.
3. Ju-On.
ok this was very disappoiting. like, why. I just wanna know the origin and they did go there but in the end, no. they make it more fucked up than it already is. it was a waste of my time. ahahaha yea! I am angry. it doesn't give closer! I hate it so much that I didn't even get scared. Ok, it did, the first episode. tapi lapas tu, nyeh. reeled me in and then make a fool of me. fu.
4. the babysitter 1&2.
ok these two are actually very chic-flick lol I like. funny and stupid and sometimes unfattenable, but make a cheap good movie. Bella Thorne is actually a decent actress.
5. Enola Holmes.
NOW WE'RE TALKING. this one is THE.BEST. of Netflix releases. I once said in a post that Klaus is the best of Netflix. well, now, its Enola Holmes. if they give the same energy in their other movies as this one, I will love netflix more. but I'm probably just bias, coz I like Downye Jr version of Sherlock Holmes a lot.
6. Mortal Engine.
I like the concept. I like the idea of a world a thousand years into the future. but why the metal machine gotta look like bugs? also, the machine reminds of Studio Ghibli's Howl's Moving Castle. maybe they got the inspiration from that? I think this was from a book as well, so maybe it is? another weak ending for me. like, I don't get it. I did watch it when I wasn't really in the mood. sooo...not a fair assessment I guess?
7. Start-Up.
kdrama. 16 episodes saja. I begin watching when there were just 4 episodes. LOL I stopped becoz I thought before aku start obsessing, lets stop and wait for the rest of the episodes kana load on Netflix. I love the idea (mcm that Google movie) behind it, the storyline was good, and I actually like the ending. I don't like the extended ending tho. unnecessary. 10/10 no regrets. also, dam sponsors/product placements were excessively subtle. LOL

a friend once said, new year is nothing special. it's just "same shit, different days" thing. imma live up to that saying. but I did tones of thing in Dec leading up to the new year. not new year celebration per se. just, mini family gatherings.
27th Dec. Family Day. Truly a last minute thing. even in the state that I was then, I helped in making it happened. we had fun.
30th Dec. bringing my baby fruities and mom to Jerudong Park. the kids had fun and that is all that matters. 💖💖
31st Dec was the most calm I've been in a family gathering. I told myself that I am not gonna be pressured into doing what i don't feel like doing and it was granted to me.
I also started playing Among Us for the first time with nieces and nephews.
So, 2020.
such a testing year. I guess it was the same for everybody. Thus, I am just glad that 2020 year is over.
